| Cons: | Stomach upset, skin worsening, eczema, extreme itchyness which turned into blistering hives |
| Bottom Line: | This is easily the worst product I have ever used in my life. STAY AWAY FROM IT, and make sure, if you do try it, that you are totally aware of the side effects and risks. Some of the not-so-rare side effects can result in your needing a hospital visit (and from there, a spinal tap!).
I have developed hives which are so severe I am unable to use any soaps or even shower with warm water. Additionally, my acne is significantly worse than before I started, and I now have eczema - something I've never had in my life. I have taken 5 Benadryl today to keep the hives at bay, but the itching is still present, and much worse than any itching I've ever experienced in my life. It is incredibly widespread - literally from the top of my head to the tips of my toes.
I can't stress it enough - AVOID THIS! It may work for you, but the risks outweigh the benefit, and you'll feel so miserable as your immune system tries to recover! |

| Pros: | I've tried minocycline and at first it seemed to be helping, and then I got my period and it seemed to stop working. |
| Cons: | made me sick at first and then I took it again and I felt fine. I heard that it turns your teeth colors. |
| Bottom Line: | I DONT THINK THIS HELPS. I WOUL D RECOMMEND A BETTER EATING DIET AND PLENTY OF REST, EXERCISE, AND A GOOD CLEANSER. |

| Pros: | Seems to be controlling my breakouts really well, Havent seen any new bumps since I started on it (Been under a week). I know it might seem abnormally fast, but in just 3 days my face looks a lot smoother. Works great so far. |
| Cons: | Small little head-aches i've never had before, they are only momentary and last for about 5 minutes but i'm sure even a child cold tolerate the small pain it causes. |
| Bottom Line: | Using minocycline by itself is not a smart idea, start a process where you use many things in conjunction. I was prescribed Retin-A, Minicycline, and 2 BP 10% bars, and I went to buy a moisturizer myself.
So far I havent had one new bump on my face, the only thing i've noticed is redness, which i'm sure is my face adjusting to the new medication (retin-a). Like I said it's been 2 days, but i've seen A LOT of progress in those two. Side affects do seem more apparent in females then males, as I havent felt any other then a small headache.
The purpose of it is to kill bacteria before it starts, so you've got somthing for under your skin, now you need to meet it half way with another medicine such as topicals.. I'm using the BP 10% scrub to help oxidize my pores and keep the, bacteria free while retin-a helps with repairing my skin.

| Pros: | Helped clear a bit of my skin up, relatively cheap |
| Cons: | stained my teeth yellow, made me burn easily |
| Bottom Line: | Did improve my acne, but the results weren't nearly as good as I would have liked. Then I discovered that it was responsible for staining my teeth, I had to stop using it. I would give it a try! It seems like many different people have different results. |

| Pros: | I'm on 100mg doses twice daily and it cleared up my cystic acne within a month. Breakouts are minimal and my skin looks great! |
| Cons: | It can possibly upset your stomach at first, but my main problem is that all my skin has become sensitive to even tiny scratches. Irritated skin becomes red quickly and easily. |

| Cons: | I've gone back to minocycline after getting moderate to severe breakouts after pregnancy. This is month two and I'm not seeing the same results as I did a few years ago. Side effects include headaches and yeast infection |
| Bottom Line: | I tried doxycycline without any positive results so I'm back on the minocycline. I'm eager for it to work so I have been consistent but the side effects are a real deterent. I'm also using this product along with BP gel and it has been really helpful. |
