| Cons: | Like with any drugs, be aware of its potentially serious side effects!! |
| Bottom Line: | I wish I had read these reviews before I started this medicine. Two weeks into treatment I developed the lupus-like symptoms others have described here. I had searing pain in every joint in my body. I was unable to turn a doorknob, walk, turn my head, etc. without sheer agony. I have a whole new appreciation for people who have any sort of chronic joint pain or arthritis. It was torturous. My derm was completely perplexed by this reaction and still to this day, I think, doesn't believe that my reaction was to the medication. I guess it's possible, but after stopping taking the medication, my horrible symptoms gradually tapered off between one and two weeks. I know probably only a small percentage of folks who take this have this sort of reaction and every drug has potentially severe side effects...but with so many other oral antibiotic options, why take the risk with this one? |

| Pros: | May have made a subtle difference, but it was hard to tell whether or not it was just in my head or the normal fluctuation in my complexion. |
| Cons: | I had never experienced extreme fatigue or physical depression until I started taking this drug. The symptoms did not go away until I took myself off of it. I was extremely sluggish, lost motivation, and walked around in a fog. |
| Bottom Line: | This drug is scary. Apparently what happened to me does not necessarily happen to everyone, but it does happen to some of us. It can cause lupus & discoloration of your skin (it made part of my lip a little purplish until I quit taking it).
Be very careful - it is risky. |

| Bottom Line: | after a week of taking this medication my body smelled like ass, All my co-workers would stay away from me because of the smell, I dont get it I wipe really good, right after I take a shower I smell like ass. :( |

| Pros: | the minocyline has made my face less bumpy. And i dont get as many pimples as i used to when i break out. I also didnt have any side effects. |
| Cons: | the pimples i used to have are now smooth but they have seemed to have leaved red scares on my face. I have i a lot of red spots on my forehead and back. |
| Bottom Line: | I didnt have barley any acne until a few months ago. All of a sudden i was getting constant break outs 2-3 times a week. It was awful. So i went to my doctor and she prescibed me 100mg. of minocycline once a day for six months. So far i have been on it for about a month and have seen some results. I dont get as many pimples as i did before when i have my weekly break out. But my face is really red. But i also noticed that my face isnt very oily anymore. I would recomend this product because my face does look much better than before i started taking this. Im just hopping i see more results than this. |

| Pros: | Very good. Effective... I noted a difference within two weeks, like the pharmacist said. It is important to take this with food because of the nausea, but I often skip the meal and take the pill and it didn't do anything to me. |
| Cons: | IT WILL MAKE YOU PHOTOSENSITIVE. Very important. Normally, on a short term medication, this would not matter, but Minocyline is something you take from 6 months to a year, therefore, photosensitivity is AN IMPORTANT MATTER. |
| Bottom Line: | Very good. I know that I've stopped the treatments for two-three days because I didn't get my refill and I broke out right away, after a month of treatment. Doctor told me this was normal because Minocyline will eventually clear my acne and it won't come back once I'm done the full treatment, and I believe it. |

| Bottom Line: | Wow, lots of negative comments about this stuff. Minocycline was a miracle pill for me! I had really bad acne on my chest that I guess came from the humidity, and when I say bad acne, I mean BAD! They were little inflamed bumps all over, and it was summer so I felt ashamed to wear tank tops. My doctor gave me this stuff, and in 3 months my acne was gone and hasn't come back. My sister is currently using it and I'm praying it works for her. |
