Pros:helped with overall redness, less breakouts, skin def. feels better
Cons:headaches, dizziness, found that it once triggered an anxiety attack but am not certain that this is what caused it, mild indigestion
Bottom Line:Bottom line is that Minocycline does work but I'm not sure if the side effects are worth it. I think the effects vary from person to person and those who have none should consider themselves lucky. I would atleast give it a shot! I am using this along with Clindamycin in the morning and Tazorac at night.

Pros:Don't know.
Cons:F**ks you up.
Bottom Line:I didn't really feel good after taking the pills, but I gave it a shot.

But, after 9 days of using it, something went wrong. Instant fever, weird ligtheaded feeling, heart beating like crazy (about 160 bpm), shaking as hell. Ambulance even got here.

Believe me, rather have pimples than experiance that.

Bottom Line:I saw improvement in my skin within a day, but after taking it for about 3days i starting getting nauseous and a little dizzy so i stopped taking it. i'm not sure if i got nauseous from the pill though, because i was just not feeling right, it may just have just been a sickness.i'm doing good now but i'm nervous to go back on it because i don't want to get nauseous again, i DO want clear skin though! i'm 15 and i've been having trouble with acne since i was about 9 so i've been trying to fight with it for awhile. Also i told my derm about how i was feeling and she changed me over to doxycycline hyclate 50MG, but i haven't taking that yet because i'm nervous what that will do to me! i don't have horrifying acne but i think it's starting to get worse. so any suggestions? do you think i should go back on it? thanks!

Pros:Within four days, minocycline has alleviated the pain associated with cystic acne. So, in a sense, it is working. Unlike other users, I have not experienced any side effects, as yet.
Bottom Line:Most general practitioners would combine this with a topical acne treatment to aid in the recovery of the skin. I've been prescribed ClindaTech, manufactured by DermaTech Laboratories. It's Clindamycin solution of up to 1% w/v concentration. Combined as a treatment, I know that it's still early days, but the raised inflammations have decreased dramatically. Even though, by just looking at it, the acne is still present in a severe form. However, I am optimistic that everything will clear by the end of the first half of the year.

Pros:It cleared up my acne fast, i didn't have to be worrying all the time if I missed washing my face at night if I feel asleep.
Cons:You can't stay on it forever, antibiotics are bad for your system. Once I stopped taking them the pimples came back.
Bottom Line:This product is really good if you've got a function coming up or you need clear skin but you can't take the antibiotics forever so the acne will come back. But at least while you're on it you can find something that will work and start using it once you have the clear skin.

Pros:The pills clear up acne on a decent level. I noticed a large difference in the first few weeks.
Cons:Acne didn't get much better in the period after the first few weeks 'til now. Side effects: drowsiness, weakness, lazy, tired, dream-like state, sometimes sleepless/disturbed sleep, sort of a mental block becomes active.
Bottom Line:They're good for clearing up acne for a few weeks of use, but after that I think they should be stopped and replaced with something more effective. I don't know if the acne reduction is worth all the side effects, but then again this is one of my first-ever prescription medications that I've taken.
