| Pros: | I did start to see improvement almost immediately; the cystic acne became less painful and less swollen. It all seemed to be going down from severe to moderate. |
| Cons: | I started with the headaches but I dealt with it and just took Excedrin. However, after about a week, I was one of those lucky few (about one in a hundred) who had an adverse allergic reaction. Side effects can include a sudden itchy rash... |
| Bottom Line: | I have to completely cease use anyway because right now I am miserable. Also, if you are one of the "lucky few" who get the adverse allergic reaction you should know nothing helps, benadryl, etc. you just have to wait for it to leave your system. Honestly, I wish I would have just started on Accutane instead of trying this first. I know that has it's side effects too but at least in the end it's a much more positive result. This, honestly, wasn't worth the trouble at all. |

| Pros: | Easy to take |
| Cons: | Does not work, makes acne worse, acne takes forever to go away |
| Bottom Line: | I took Minocycline 2 times a day with differin at night. Made acne worse. Does not go away. Switched to using vitamin E to get rid of the scars. Would not recommend |

| Cons: | helped a little bit, got my hopes up too high, depression from acne, takes forf**kinever, doesnt last forever even if it did work |
| Bottom Line: | either way by the end of your 2-3 month treatment of this...youll wish u woulda jus started with accutane....and had 3 months down. |

| Pros: | It really clears up your skin. For me, no topical medication helped alone. |
| Cons: | It is not healthy to ingest antibiotics all the time, therefore I take it for a week, stop and when acne gets worse I start using it again. In a blood test my bilirubin values were a little bit high and that could implicate the liver. |
| Bottom Line: | It is a good solution for small time periods. But eventually something else has to be used because it is not healthy to take it all the time. Since I don't know if my liver is affected or not (repeated the test and it was ok) I am in a 150 mg/day regimen. I use it when my acne is severe and stop when it gets better (usually after a week) to let my body rest from it. Now my medical insurance does not cover prescriptions, therefore I use benzoic peroxide with the antibiotic, since is the cheapest option, but if burns and dries your face. When I could have prescriptions I used differin and duac with the antibiotic and my face was better than ever. |

| Pros: | hmmm cleared up... 70% of my facial outbreaks. horrible |
| Cons: | may not be for everyone maybe some side effects, ohhh ya sunlight sensitivity. i wana cry wen i see the sun but i hold together. |
| Bottom Line: | as in outbreaks i had about 5-10 big red pimple / zit things (maybe cysts) on my face, not on my forehead but chin, cheeks, and above my lips. around my lips was menacing and looked horrible it killed me inside.
now a days im not as depressed, i take 100x minocicline. anything lower won't do as much probably.
but 100x minocycline and regimen "acne Free" severe. acne free consists of 4 bottles a dead skin remover, a moisturizer, a morning and a night cleanser. i don't use the morning cleanser cuz the night one works better at both times of day. so far i've been able to live my life only with bad back acne and who knows maybe itll be gone soon. |

| Pros: | Worked fast and cleared up acne within a few days. Didn't seem to have any noticeable side effects. |
| Cons: | Only lasted a few weeks, pimples came back afterwards. |
| Bottom Line: | It really felt great to be rid of the acne, but I stopped and started 3 times. I want to know what cures this thing. |

| Cons: | Acne comes back if you stop using it. |
| Bottom Line: | I would recommend this to anyone, but reading some of the other posts here,I guess you should be aware that there are risks involved. |

| Pros: | Worked pretty well for the first couple of weeks, I saw a reduction in the amount of acne I had, and all seemed well. Didn't notice any side effects, that I'm aware of. |
| Cons: | After about 14 months of using this medication you notice that after a while that it becomes inaffective, I even increased the dosage and still nothing. I'm starting to think that its making it worse. |
| Bottom Line: | Definetly not a long turn solution, it works well for a while but after that you gotta find something else. |
