| Pros: | It clears some acne. |
| Cons: | I was a little drowsy the first week on this medicine I have my face clean just with some red marks from acne but they are healing away my problem is that I still have acne in my back, chest, arms. So my derm wants me to go on accutane next week.. |
| Bottom Line: | This medicine might work for some people, but like I said it helps alot to my face but my chest, back and arms are kinda the same they have just improve a little so my dr says to go on accutane next week... I thought alot about it... and Im doing it.. Hopefully all works great |

| Pros: | Works moderately well with clearing skin |
| Cons: | long term use leads to extreme suseptability to thrush (candidas infection) |
| Bottom Line: | have been using for over a year. DoOesn't work perfectly on acne, still get one or two pimples a week, but those clear much faster with minocycline. Also prevents cystic acne. When went off for a few weeks noticed a worsening in acne but an improvment in mental state. so would agree that the minocycline can effect you mentally or cause mild depression. ALso, as with any antibiotic, the extended use leads to an over growth of candidas, causing thrush. |

| Cons: | I had a very rare and extreme allergic reaction. Within just 2 weeks of taking this drug, I had extreme pain in all of my joints. I was unable to lift my arms or drive. Ended up in the ER. This was a very rare case, but I thought I should share :) |

| Pros: | Not on it long enough to get any benefits. |
| Cons: | headaches, dizziness, disorientation, nausea |
| Bottom Line: | I couldn't take this. I was on 200mg a day, and on day 3 I had to stop because I couldn't even turn my head without feeling woozy. I felt this constant pressure in my head, and I was so out of it and disoriented. I also didn't sleep well. Very strange, if short, experience. |

| Bottom Line: | very good. do not take thios medicine with calcium or iron at the same time. you should have at least a 2 hour gap between taking the medicane and taking in food that has iron or calcium. if you eat breakfast at 8 am in the morning, you should only be drinking this medicine at around 10:30. then at 12:30 you can eat what you want. remeber anything with calcium in it like milk,cheese , butter wil absorb the minocycline and it wont work. you have to follow a daily routine and try to drink at the same time everyday. |

| Pros: | Began to work after about 1 month. I had tried many different medications, oral, topical and birth control- this seems to be the only one that works. I experienced acne only in college and did not have skin issues in high school. |
| Cons: | Sun sensitivity; I'm already fair, so I have to be careful. |
| Bottom Line: | Acne treatments work differently depending on the person. Obviously, it caused problems for some and worked wonders for others. I have only positive things to say about the medication and believe it's worth a try. |

| Pros: | I've been taking it for only a week and have noticed big change in breaking out, it's stopped, except maybe one little pimple I have gotten since I took it.. My face used to be bad,got better, now it freaked out a lil again, so I took this. |
| Cons: | Side effects suck, So far I have gotten nauesa but that went away, I then got yeast infection. (Since it can cause irritation there) I've only been taking it for a week and this just happened a few days ago. I also think I have a bad kidney as it is. |
| Bottom Line: | Bottom line it works, and reduces redness.. but, if you want to suffer the side effects be my guest.. I might see if there's a better option for an antibiotic with not so many risks. Most people can have side affects.. Women who take this, there's high risk of vaginal irritaion because this antibiotic kills bacteria which the bacteria stops yeast infections. Weird I thought I would see someone pointing this out on the first page, maybe didn't want to let it all out.. But hey this is a big risk. I recommend this to people who don't care about side effects.. I might use it till I talk to my doctor about it to see if there is anything else effective that's an antibiotic. Insurence saved me 42.99 |

| Bottom Line: | it's an alright product. i'm still on it right now, but i have never had really bad acne. i just break out a lot, then those pimples go away and my face will be clear for a couple of weeks, then i'll break out again. it's hasn't really done wonders for me... |

| Pros: | Completely cleared acne |
| Cons: | Once in awhile would experience dizziness and would be sick to stomach |
| Bottom Line: | This product was my saving grace. I started this medication when I was 23 and continued to take it for 3 years. My skin cleared up entirely. I found a new Dr. and was told I shouldn't be on this drug for that long so I stopped and Acne has reappeared.
So now I am back to square one trying to figure out something else that works.
But I would recommend this product to anyone where everything else has failed them. |

| Pros: | worked well for a long time! barely ever got a cyst.. |
