Pros: none. Cons: expensive; got worse; the damage lasts long. Bottom Line: I only took minocycline for 10 days and after the 3rd day i noticed zits all over my forehead. I was furious. I called my dermatologist and asked what was up. She said that wasn't supposed to happen; there should be no initial break out at all. She told me to stop. Now, it's been a month since i stopped and i still have all these zits,scars, and pimples! My skin looks redder and much more bumpy than before. I'm trying different things to fix this problem: differin, clindamycin and neutrogena face wash. I'm contemplating whether to take Tetracycline to fix my face. Pros: i saw results 2 hours after i took it...no joke. it completely cleared my severe systic acne in about 2 weeks after i started taking it. Cons: i was super dizzy first time i took it but now i'm just normal again Bottom Line: get this Recommended: Yes Usage: anonymous has used this item for a few months. Pros: It worked for me, and I only have mild-moderate acne and occasional cysts. Here in Canada, we don't really have to pay much for treatments, and my mum works with the hospital, so I got it for free. Cons: Discoloured my teeth, and after noticing I immediately stopped the treatment, and went to the dentist (costed me nothing, just extra polishing and scraping) Bottom Line: It worked to lighten my acne, but discoloured my teeth. I had to stop the treatment. This doesn't mean it won't work for you! Give it a try if your doc prescribes it, but I would recommend going to a trained dermatologist first. Pros: it's been less than a week and my acne is almost cleared up. it's working. Cons: nausea!!!!! Bottom Line: if you have severe acne , it will help tremendously! Dying to go on Accutane, California Jan 1st, 2009 How well it works Agreeability Affordability

Pros: umm i can't think of any cuz my acne has gotten worse Cons: doesn't work Bottom Line: my friend is on accutane and it works amazingly well. he used to have reallllllyyyy bad acne and now he has perfectly clear skin. sure it's a little dry from being on it but he uses crappy moisturizers. so i've been on minocycline for a month and my acne has gotten more red and worse. my doctor says to give it even more time, but hey, i'm wasting my youth away, getting a pizza face from some lame antibiotics which reading on here, works only half the time. and when it works it usually kicks in in a couple weeks. i'm sooooo mad at my doctor. he better prescribe accutane the next time i see him. Pros: Dried up some of my bacacne Cons: Didn't have that much bacance. Maybe one of two bumps a month. My vision has started to get unfocused. Bottom Line: My doctor is an idiot. I have moderate acne, maybe even moderate-to-mild and she prescibes me this? Sounds like it's suppose to be for ppl with more serious acne and the risks are way more frightening than the possibility of somewhat clearer skin. No, just no. Pros: keeps my acne at bay! Cons: it makes me very dizzy. i've learned to live with it though. it's worth it. Bottom Line: without this drug, i'd be a mess. i've taken 100 mg 2x a day for over 5 years. i hate to be dependant on this, but i feel as if i have no choice. my acne is moderate to light (depending on the time of the month!) thanks to minocin. Pros: I've been on this a week now to clear up moderate cystic acne, and it seems to be lessening the symptoms. Cons: This drug makes me feel dizzy, tired, and I have a mild tightness in my chest. Pros: Umm i didn't react badly. Cons: I have now been taking it for 3 months. And it has done NOTHING. I went back to my doctor and he told me it takes 3-4 months to work, which is on the contrary to what i've read here. Bottom Line: I'm dissapointed that i stuck it out for so long, the doc just kept telling me it will work eventually, and i've just wasted time and money.
