| Pros: | Works very well for me.This is my 3rd time to start a course and its always worked for me!! |
| Cons: | Spots return when off it |
| Bottom Line: | Ive used this drug a few times in my life. Its always effective so much so after 3 months forget I have acne and stop all Acne treatment. This time I have got a 6month perscription and determined to use this acne free( I hope) period to get my life and health in order, better food, less alcohol( used to drink a fair bit) and vitmains, zinc supplements etc.Im also breaking in my skin to Dans regime as I can try BP without fear of it causing any acne. |

| Pros: | I developed cystic acne as part of some premenopausal symptoms. Doctor put me on this immediately, and it worked fast. I've been on it for months now. |
| Cons: | Almost immediately, I developed a yeast infection. This happens to me when I go on any antibiotic, as it does to many women. Fluconazole cleared it right up, and my doctor now keeps a standing prescription for me in case I need it again. |
| Bottom Line: | It's still working for me! |

| Pros: | stopped my cycle of breakouts, clearer skin |
| Cons: | lightheaded, nausea, having to plan it around my meals(& vice versa), muscle pains |
| Bottom Line: | started it a couple weeks ago, and have noticed much improvement in my skin. i haven't had any breakouts since, only a couple pimples at a time but my complexion is still horrible. the side effects are horrible but not so bad since i decreased my intake to half a week ago. |

| Pros: | Did totally clear up my face, back and chest within about a month. |
| Cons: | Side Effects. Horrendous dizziness and nausea after taking it, then difficulty sleeping, blurred vision and constantly upset stomach developed after 3 months amongst muscle pains, mood swings and change in behaviour. |
| Bottom Line: | I went to the doctors today and have had to come off this because it is totally causing havoc in my body. I am really pleased with the results but I simply cannot cope with the side effects any longer. I know some people stay on this for years with no problems - everyone is different. I wasn't really haooy going on antibiotics in the first place. I am gutted to have to come off something that works but it really wasn't worth all the other problems it caused me! I'm now trying Duac to help keep my skin in the condition the Minocycline has helped it into. This was the first thing to clear up my acne after 8 years of trying! |

| Pros: | For the first couple of weeks my skin felt clearer and I had fewer outbreaks |
| Cons: | I was okay for a couple of weeks. After that I developed hives, with joint pain, and swollen lips. |
| Bottom Line: | The pain associated with the allergies is not worth the clearer skin |
| Recommended: | No |

| Pros: | Cleared some acne after 2 weeks. |
| Cons: | Horrible side effects. Back pains. Joints felt stiff and crackly. Horrible breakouts after stopping. |
| Bottom Line: | Clears some acne, but not nearly enough to give justification for the side effects. Break out worse than ever when you stop.
Bottom line: don't ever start this medication. |

| Pros: | minor improvement over the course of 2 months, only slightly discernible |
| Cons: | Caused a LUPUS-type reaction in one of my daughters and the other was immediately taken off |
| Bottom Line: | This medication caused a verified Lupus-type systemic reaction in one of my daughters-she had a positive ANA. One morning she woke up with noticeably swollen joints and hands. I did some research and found that this is a reaction that is not commonly reported in this country. It is more prevalent in Europe where they have more commonly used this compound for acne treatment.
Be careful if you use this drug for any length of time and be aware of systemic reactions. |

| Pros: | I took it for 2 years. Got rid off my acne. Cleared my face. Worked great! |
| Cons: | One day I started feeling really bad, nausea, sever headache, dizziness, etc. I had to stop taking it. |
| Bottom Line: | It's worth to try it until the side effects get to you :) Not good to take antibiotics for a long period of time. |
