I took it for a long time (6 years)! Had worked on my acne pretty well. But, aboutn a year ago, I started getting very sick. I was throwing up several times a day, every day. All kids of lab tests were coming up with nothing. For a while I though I wasn't going to make it. Finallly a test for Gastropesisys ("paralysis of the stomach") came back positive. My doctors (both my siblings, and their spouses are doctors), could not explain why I would have this, other than from Minoclycin!

I've bin on Minocycline (100mg) for 2 weeks now. It has had hardly any effect on my acne. But after reading some of the other comments, I am willing to stick it out and wait for the pill to come good.

I have been taking it for three months for mild acne. At first it made it worse, but slowly its cleared up, and I'm just going to finish my present course of it and then stop. I haven't had any side effects either....

I have been on the drug for 11 years. I have never had any side effects but then I am a big boy. It has helped but I have still had breakouts when I eat chocolate or drink loads of milk which i love. I have always had mild acne, for 11 years now. 27 and still pissing me off.

My doctor prescribed minocycline for my moderate acne, I took it 3 times. It made me terribly ill. I was dizzy and it made me vomit. I am going to try something else.

I have been on 100 mg Minocycline for eight months and it has cleared up my skin. I must confess that I should be taking it daily, but I now skip a day or two taking it because I've read about the bad side effects it can have if taken for a long period of time. To my surprise it still works very well. I am also using the Obagi skin care system. I also love Obagi and I think that it has a lot to do with it.

I was so dizzy taking this, I had to take it only at night before I went to bed. Then I could just sleep through it! If I took it and stayed awake I felt nauseous from it and it was hard to drive with my head feeling funny. I don't think the antibiotics work well on my skin at all, except it did get rid of some inflammation which was nice since made it look like it was getting better! I still had a lot of breakouts and it looked like it usually did, so then I was switched to yet another treatment.

I started Minocycline about 2 weeks ago. I have had all of the side effects like dizziness and being unbalanced. It lasts for about an hour after taking the 50 mmg pill. (twice a day). So far my skin has gotten worse, but I do a good job with covering it up. I'm taking it day by day and pill by pill, hoping it starts to work soon!

Minocycline made my severe acne worse. I was on 4 pills a day (which is a high dose), and I was breaking out the whole time I was on it. I also experienced daily headaches and strange discolorations on my chins (which I was told was scar tissue). My derm immediately took me off the drug when I told her about the headaches. If you experience them, then come off right away. Tetracycline helped so much more, however, I had to come off it because it stopped working 6 months later.
