I was put on 100mg minocycline in moderated release capsules for moderate acne which has in the past been severe. I found this medication initially just reduced the size of my spots but this was enough to reduce the marks left behind. After two months however the frequency; two to four spots a day, had not subsided. I doubted that this medication could completely clear me up so i went back to my doctor to complain. My doctor insisted that i wait three months to decide whether this medication actually works for me. Now the three months is up and my skin has stopped producing spots. I'm really glad i stuck with it and seeing as i haven't experienced any side effects i intend to continmue with thi medication for as long as is necessary.

I have been using minocin for the last 3 months. I have noticed the effectiveness. The acne on my face and back has cleared up 90% but i still have scars.

I've been on this for a couple months now and I haven't really noticed a big difference in my acne. I have mild acne but its on my face, back and chest and it really bugs and frustrates me. I also use topical treatments like Retin-A and this prescription benzoyle peroxide cream cleanser and those seem to work pretty well, but I still get at least a few zits every week and I just wish it would they would go away!

This stuff worked great for me. I had mild - moderate acne for a couple of years (im 17), tried all the creams, doxycycline etc nothing really worked. Doctor prescribed this, and i noticed a huge difference in only a week. Its been 5 weeks on it now and although im not quite completely clear, if it keeps clearing at this rate i should be 100% clear in a matter of weeks. No side effects at all - nothing!.

Ive been using this product for about 1 month now and i really didnt find any improvement, though the redness has gotten a little bit better and i dont have as many lrg. cycstic kind of acne only probally 1 large cycst every week or if i miss a dose i find that the acne starts to get worse then takes about a week or so to start to kick in again.

I've been on Minocin for 1 week 3 days, I didn't have bad acne at all..but since I've used this product, it seemed to make my skin worse. I hope this is one of those "it gets worse before it gets better" type of things..*crosses fingers*

This pill is horrible! i was on it for two months when i started getting really sick. it made my intestines swell and i felt like throwing up all the time! i would have to go home from the nurses office at school about 3 times a week because i felt so sick. i kept going to the doctors to figure out why this was happening. after a month of this sickness they found that minocyclin has this effect on some people. it's uncommon but at the first sign on sickness blam the pill and get off of it! for my achne, it did help about 30% but the side effects were so horrible the 30% wasn't worth it.
