I started Minocycline about 2 weeks ago. I have had all of the side effects like dizziness and being unbalanced. It lasts for about an hour after taking the 50 mmg pill. (twice a day). So far my skin has gotten worse, but I do a good job with covering it up. I'm taking it day by day and pill by pill, hoping it starts to work soon!

Minocycline made my severe acne worse. I was on 4 pills a day (which is a high dose), and I was breaking out the whole time I was on it. I also experienced daily headaches and strange discolorations on my chins (which I was told was scar tissue). My derm immediately took me off the drug when I told her about the headaches. If you experience them, then come off right away. Tetracycline helped so much more, however, I had to come off it because it stopped working 6 months later.

Originally before using Minicycline I was on other tablets that made me feel sick and didnt help at all. THEN I went on Minocycline. It worked very well (on my face) for 2years but recently my acne has come back making me feel very depressed. Now switching to the pill.LOW DOWN ON Minocycline, its worth it while your skin is clear.

I guess you could say i had ' Highly moderate, near severe ' Acne. And i had this from the time i was about 13, i tried numerous products from the time i was 13 till i was 15, and none worked. Then when i was 15, my doctor put me on Minocycline, and it has now been 2 and a half months. And there is no doubt about it, my acne is going very fast... I guess it has improved about 80% now.

I'm 34 and never had acne in high school, i now have four kids, three pregnacies (twins) and after each one i broke out bad on my cheeks, chin, nose and forehead. We tried everything and nothing helped, so i tried minocycline 100mg capsules and in 2 days my face was cleared!!! I've been on it for three months and never had as much as a little mark (i had really bigs ones) Tommorrow is my last pill for now to see if it stays like this so crossing my fingers but as for now i say it is a miracle pill!!!

i use to hav severe acne on my face wen i was about 15.i was put on roaccutane which cleared my skin up completely. But as my 7 month course of roaccutane ended, i started to get a break out of spots again. They werent as bad but just damn right f*kin frustrating.I was put on minocin for a 6month course. At first they made my skin worse, but eventually my skin started to become clearer.By the 4th,5th and 6th month my skin was clear from spots! So in my experience, minocin worked for me, just unfortunatly very slowly =(

I've been on it for a week and I have all of the side effects that it says I would experience. Feeling of imbalance, dizziness, shortness of breath, headache. I have cystic acne and that seems to have stopped, but the side effects aren't worth it. I was afraid to drive because I thought I would pass out. I also have low iron, so this probably makes that worse.

This pill worked well when I first started taking it 2 years ago. Last year I started having heart problems, siezures, chest pains etc. Then I stopped taking it 4 months ago. I started taking it a month ago again and I had the same problems plus Ive gained maybe 30 pounds. I stopped taking it last week. Im never taking it or anything else ever again.
