| Pros | Basically everything. It's the first thing to actually work. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Nothing. |
| Bottom line | I've tried everything. But this is the only one that actually works. Sure, it took a month or so, but it was totally worth it. I don't really have big acne. just looks of small ones. But not any more. only a few tiny ones that i really don't care about seeing as it used to be a whole lot worse. i've been on 100mg a day for 1.5 months now and i'm so happy. I don't want to be too quick to review just incase it does get worse again so so far i'm happy. My skin is a lot smoother and Waking up in the morning is no longer a time where i have to look in the mirror and moan. I've seen a lot of reviews about side effects, which is bad but i have had none. although the first time i took it i felt a little bit dizzy, but nothing i couldn't get over in 10 seconds. |

| Pros | -Reduced Acne Redness -Cheap -Did not get a breakut while on it |
|---|---|
| Cons | -DEPERSONALIZATION! (worst experience of my life) -Did not actually clear acne, just reduced redness -Extreme Vertigo (very dizzy) -Vision problems -Caught a significant cold 4 days into treatment -Brain fog |
| Bottom line | WORST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE. I took 2 100mg tablets a day for only a little over 2 weeks. This drug has changed my life, I will never take a day for granted if I ever feel better. The main problem was depersonalization. When i was on this drug it felt like i was watching my life happen through a television screen, like everything wasn't real. As a result of this i developed vision problems from the depersonalization like visual static. I felt disconnected, minocycline essentially gave me a constant what I would like to call "High" for 2 weeks, and I have never done drugs in my life. The diziness was unbalievable, I couldnt even walk straight. I even had trouble sleeping because when i would lie down it would feel like i was spinning. My memeory got much worse and it didn't help that i took this around exam time. I have been off minocycline for about a month, and some of its effects are still with me. I still experience depersonalization and I have no idea if it will ever go away, my visual problems have been getting better though. The diziness went away when i stopped treatment but it still feels as if I am living in a dream and am disconnected with myself and reality. I would give anything to feel normal again. I would trade all the acne in the world to get my life back, Its not worth it, there are much better natural methods to try. I hope someday i will snap out of this horrible depersonalization and get my life back. These were my experiences that I thought I would share, thankyou |

| Pros | worked like a charm for three weeks, |
|---|---|
| Cons | but then it didn't. also a minor side effect. |
| Bottom line | Started minocycline and saw instant results. My active acne dried up and disappeared; new zits, of which I had almost none, were cute little non-cystic things that came and went within a day. And so (other than post-inflammatory pigmentation) my face was clearer than it had been for months. I became happy and extroverted, wasn't ashamed to have Skype conversations, etc. etc. Then one morning there was a weird sensation in my throat. It felt exactly like the pill was stuck in my throat, like it was clinging to my esophagus Spiderman-style. The feeling persisted for the rest of the time I was taking minocycline. Later my doc would tell me that this was a lump in my throat, a side-effect mino can sometimes cause. She prescribed Carafate for my throat and switched me to Bactrim. But not before, about three weeks after starting mino, I had approximately the worst break-out of my life--seriously about 15 gnarly pimples, all on my chin, a lot of them cystic, a lot of them clustered together into mountain ranges of inflamed agony. Truly wondered what I had done to so violently anger the acne gods. My roommate asked who had given me oral herpes. If it works then bully to you. It gave me just three good weeks. |

| Pros | None |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Didnt clear my acne -Wasted my time because it did nothing |
| Bottom line | I had really bad acne and my doctor put me on this for like 3 months and nothing happened. My acne just continued as normal. After reading other reviews I feel lucky because i recived very little side affects from this drug. I fell like it wasted my time because I ended up going on accutane. I heard very little storys of success with this drug from a few peers and reviews on line. Now my acne is clear from accutane but i feel like this drug helped delay the clearing of my skin. |

| Pros | -I did not have any pros while using the medication...I guess it never caused me to get sick or anything like some other people... |
|---|---|
| Cons | -Did not seem to make acne better or worse while taking it. -I suffered a horrible rebound breakout when I went off of the medication. |
| Bottom line | I got really bad acne all over my face, neck, chest, and back when I stopped using the product. I never got neck or chest acne prior to using minocycline. It took a good 3-4 months to get my acne back under control. Because of this I do not recommend this product or at least I suggest talking to your doctor about the possible acne rebound effect. |

| Pros | temporarily cleared some acne |
|---|---|
| Cons | side effects - yeast infection and stomach issues annoying to take (twice a day, avoid dairy within a few hours of taking it, etc) temporary fix |
| Bottom line | Cleared some acne which came back as soon as I stopped taking it. Temporary fix, and not really worth the side effects |
