I've taken it before and it only helped a little. Now, I'm taking it along with Dalacin T topical lotion. The results are unbelievable. All I have now is slightly red skin. It looks a little dry, but feels so smooth. There should be a section for Dalacin, because I really think its that has saved me.

I've tried everything under the sun for my skin short of Accutane. My skin got worse a few months before my wedding and my Dr. put me on Minocin. It did nothing for the first 6 weeks, then BAM! my skin became clear! I was about to give up on Minocin, had a bad breakout, but decided to stick with it a bit longer. Now I haven't had a zit in over 2 weeks. My skin is smooth for the first time since I was 10 (now 25). I am very happy. I have had no side effects at all. I am on 100mg a day, supposed to be on 100 twice a day, but with the single 100mg working, I'm not going to over medicate myself. I am also using Differin and Sulfacet-R.

Short of taking medicine, I had tried every thing I was told to use on my acne, until I got a skin infection (my face looked horrible) so I had to go see a doctor he put me on minocycline, i been on it for 2 months, I love it, with in the first few days it cleared my face, now the only thing left are the ugly balck pigmentation marks

I was on minocycline for 3 days, was told to not drink milk with it which I did't, was told not to stay in the sun for a long period of time which I didn't , but was out side wearing a sweatshirt that covered my arms and got sevearly burned, has anyone ever experianced this? Needless to say I stopped the medication and am going back to the derm this weekend....:(

Ive been on this for a little less than a month now. I don't know what to say, I had these humungous groups of zits on my face, the swelling of the big ones have gone down dramatically, but for every big one it clears up, I get 2-3 small ones right around that area. It has noticeably cleared up the right side of my face, but the left side is the worst I've ever seen it. Hasnt done much for my back. The doc said to go on one a day because the headaches and dizziness were pretty much constant. Im skeptical, but I really dont want to go on accutane. We'll see what happens I guess.

I have been using Differin gel once a night along with Klaron in the morning and Minocycline pills twice daily. I've been taking them all together for 8 weeks now and no change at all. I'm 24, never had acne in my teen years, but just started developing it last year after taking birth control pills for a few months to alleviate painful cramps. Stopped the pills but the acne stayed. :( I tried over the counter products but nothing worked because my skin is so sensitive that it just burned me the moment it touched my skin and dried me up for days on end. After that I went to the derm and this was the first regimen they've put me on, though I haven't seen any improvement - my acne hasn't gotten worse, but it hasn't gotten better either.

The first time i used minocyline, i was told to drink with a glass of milk, But after reading on the interent that the effetcs of Minocyline are not as affective when taken with milk, i stopped using it. 2 months on my skin was still terrible so i went to a new doctor, and again she prescribed me Minocyline, i can't take this drug seriously, its like swallowing a sugar pill TWICE a day, was told it would work in a month, 3 months on and not much of a change. My advice is YOU KNOW WHAT WORKS FOR YOUR BODY!! if you don't have faith its working ... then you need to consult your doctor.. I am now on Dianee 35 its been 2 weeks, and i have seen the best results of my skin so far... MINOCYLINE IS A WASTE OF TIME

I've used minocycline before, and I've never had any adverse effects from it. I use it for breakouts along my chest and back, and it works fantastic. For some odd reason though, it does diddly for my face - really, absolutely nothing. But I can deal with that. Otherwise, works like a charm. Just make sure to go heavy on the sunscreen!

I had perioral dermatitis which is acne but centered around your mouth and chin only. I took minocycline for about 7 months. For the first 6 months I had beautiful clear skin then antibiotic resistance got the better of me and I broke out worse than when I started. Beware of that. Also make sure to avoid milk products when you take the pills if you want them to be effective.
