| Pros | Skin looks amazing. Scars are down 50% after just two treatments. Makeup goes on smooth and soft- people won't even be able to tell you're wearing it! |
|---|---|
| Cons | You walk out feeling like a tomato. It's very expensive (I pay $190 a session) but it's well worth the money. I don't think it would work on severe or active acne, but it's awesome for superficial scars. |
| Bottom line | I was skeptical about getting it, but boy am I glad I did. I didn't notice much of a difference after the first treatment (but my friends said I was glowing). Well, after the second treatment I definitely noticed the fading of my scars! I'm thrilled (and it's only been two weeks!) The place I go to uses an exfoliating mask, then a diamond tip laser, then a pigmentation machine, then follows up with a vitamin C treatment. I think that's why they can guarantee such great results in every patients (and it's perfect for people like me that only have a few little scars- results are pretty much instant). Would recommend this to anyone with light, stubborn acne scars and/ or a lot of cash to spare. |

| Pros | Instant results, baby smooth skin, hyperpigmentation is gone, scars gone. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Hurts a little bit, sensitive to sunlight. |
| Bottom line | I got the Crystal Microdermabrasion, less harsh than the diamon tipped. My treatment was very effective, but the beauty place treated your skin before microdermabrasion. They cleansed, exfoliated and applyed a cooling cream, they than performed the microdermabasion and after they cleansed again, with moistrisied, sunscreened, and vitamin C (to help renewel and scar). the microdermabasion hurt a little, and the vitamin C stung. I recommend getting multiple treatments at regularly intervals. I got 12 treatments in total once every 2 weeks. My acne scars are gone, the hyperpigmentation is gone, my skin looks amazing. I do not recommend getting a one-off treatment, it won't do much. But I recommend seeing a professional that includes a facial treatment. I paid $99 for a treatment. |

| Pros | skin feels baby smooth after microdermabrasion, and my skin looks more healthy and glows a lot more |
|---|---|
| Cons | crystals sometimes get in the mouth |
| Bottom line | i would recommend this once your acne is under control. if you perform this while you have active acne, it would possibly worsen it. however, i've seen results... even a 1% difference can be seen, and with continuous use, all those 1% difference adds up!!! i use at home microdermabrasion kit |

| Pros | Treatment itself feels great! Face feels smooth and polished and very clean. Evened out my blotchy skin color. Fine lines are reduced. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Slight reddening of the skin afterwards. Not sure if this is a con or not. Some people might think you look "glowing". Like everyone says though, it's expensive. I think it's worth it if you're in your late 30s like I am. |
| Bottom line | The actual treatment, to me, feels great! It's like getting a great back scratching but on your face. Living in New York City leaves me feeling like I'm walking around with a layer of dirt and filth on my skin. This feels like it's getting off all the grime and grit. I hear that more than one treatment is needed to see the full results but I feel that it's already done something. It takes time for the new skin cells to reach the top surface and begin healing and making any noticeable difference. So I'm not sure what some people are complaining about when they say it's not working after only having gone once. There's some slight reddening but I assume that will fade with time. |

| Pros | Not painful, left skin very soft and smooth |
|---|---|
| Cons | Results extremely temporary...within a few hours, my skin felt oily and greasy. |
| Bottom line | I've only had one treatment, so I can't vouch for results after a series of treatments. However, I will not splurge on this...I wans't impressed. Initially, I was thrilled--my skin felt unbelievably soft and smooth, and the skin esthestician said this would really help reduce pore appearance and oilyness. Ummm...no. I became even oilier than usual...my skin felt very sticky and greasy. |

| Pros | Helping to reduce current acne, past scares and redness are practically gone. The skin around my acne is the best it has ever been. |
|---|---|
| Cons | Discomfort, and peeling for the week or so afterwards. |
| Bottom line | I am doing this to treat my current acne and past scars. So far it has been very successful in treating my past scars. I have not had a problem and would highly recommend this. For those who have had problems are you going to a licensed and trained enestician who has the proper medical training? If so I can't see why there are so many problems. The only huge downside is the cost. I have a package of 6 treatments for now. Maybe more in the future? My treatment is also followed by a peel. |

| Pros | Leaves your skin smooth during the treatment |
|---|---|
| Cons | Half way through 5 treatments my skin broke out worse than before i started having it but it cleared up at the end of the course, a few months later i was back to square one with mild acne. Does not doing anything with regards to closing pores or a |
| Bottom line | I payed £27 for five treatments which is not worth it, it is just a massive con that breaks you out in more spots, tbf the only thing that will help your acne are vitamin supplements, don't bother withj this treatment it will just give you false hope. |

| Pros | Bright Skin , Smooth Complexion, Smaller Pores |
|---|---|
| Cons | Stinging for a few hours, Redness |
| Bottom line | Worth it - can def see the difference and feel more confident. I am 35 yrs old - have no acne whatsoever but did have in my teens, I picked my spots despite being told not to and got left with deep scars and marks. i have a pretty face and would feel so much more confident without this on my face. Have been having microdermabrasion facials for a few years now - def makes skin look much better and makeup goes on more easily. Recently I changed my salon and starting going to a different lady, she uses a differnet machine and was a bit stronger pressure of crystals - wow - I can already see more difference in one session than I have seen in last few years - def worth it. 5 days on I can still feel a slight stinging - but thats good as it tells me something is working! I'm gonna take six sessions in a row and see if it makes my skin better. I already feel better , I wore my hair up today! |
