I've had acne for four years... and I'm only in eight grade! My skin was worst in 6th grade. It was awful. It was painful.

8 Years for me! It started when I was 14, now I'm 22 & it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon. If i don't use dan's regimen, it becomes really really bad! but i don't use as much as i did before. I'm left with emotional acne scars which include large pores, rolling scars, hyperpigmentation, & some ice pick scars. It fuckin sucks. Also when i started drinking I broke out alot & i'm still trying to quit smoking which contributes to alot of my acne as well.

25 years. I first got acne when I was 8 and now I'm 34. There hasn't been one split second in that time where I didn't have acne on my face. I have no memory of what it's like to have clear skin. I've used just about everything you can think of twice. Yes, I used Accutane twice. The last two dermatologists I saw said they couldn't help me. They didn't know what to do. That was a very hopeless thing to hear.

I have a very healthy lifestyle/diet. I take care of my skin properly and still acne tortures me. It's ruined my life.

I started getting whiteheads when I was in 5th grade or so. The pretty girl used to make fun of me for it. It got worse towards the end of 8th grade into high school. Then I got on accutane and it cleared up. So I say about 11 years now. I'm 21 and my face looks better I just break out in this one area and it's driving me nuts eusa_shifty.gif

about 8 years. I think the worst times being freshman & sophomore years of highschool.. but it got pretty bad again the beginning of this year. Luckily though, it has died down significantly after changing meds.

4 months. I had major personal problems on christmas and on Jan I've started to have few pimples here and there but on March it had turned to mild acne. I think it's resolving now, but the red scars are discouraging.
------------
The regimn which had cleared my face

Cleansing with Paula's Choice cleanser
Toning with Paula's choice Toner
Exfoliating with Paula's choice 2% AHA
Moisturising with Paula's Choice cream

Also I've been taking Dianette for 2 months and a half.
I'm not sure which one is causing the pimples to stay away, but not taking any chances to stop either.

It's been 9 years so far - the last year is when it turned from black/white heads to nodules & even worse scarring. I'm soon to be 22 - so it started at 13.

I started getting my acne in August of 2007. So about two years almost.
It really does suck.
I've tried almost everything I could possibly use, and nothing seems to work however, I do use Oxy, and it works better than anything I've used, but it doesn't make it go away.
I just hope it goes away! sad.gif
I hate it so much.
I always wear foundation, becuase I hate my acne.
But I use water base, becuase it's supposed to be better than oil base. So yeah.

10 years now, as with many people it started similar time to my period at 13. I always think the worst thing is the scarring, I honestly think I could put up with acne if I knew that once it eventually went my skin would still look healthy. sad.gif

If anyone knows much about hormone control or skin shedding please take a look at my post a few down from this. I'm trying to figure out if lowering my progesterone levels is possible and if it might help as high levels have wreaked havoc on my skin thanks to cerazette (mini pill).
