- Either a light/medium daily moisturiser or suncream (nothing TOO heavy)
- Spf of 15 or above. *Essential* - Not tinted - Not a gradual tanner - Will not make me shiney! Ie. Matte *Essential* - Organic or Non-Organic, I don't mind for now - Preferabley available in UK (I can order from america but it takes around a month to arrive) I use glycolic acid so SPF is absolutely necessary. I haven't used ANY spf up until now and have been using glycolic for several months. Any recommendations?

I always felt more alone, and more guilty (sadly), with my acne as absolutely no one else in my family had acne, had ever suffered acne (e.g. my parents never suffered acne), my brothers didn't, etc.
I ate the same diet, if not a little healthier, than the rest of my family. I didn't understand why it happened to me, and this made me feel like I'd done something wrong. I had acne on and off for 5 years. Why? Food intolerance? Messed up hormones? Some kind of infection? My immune system was good. I played sport, I was good. I was healthy enough, but my face was covered in acne. My mum had the same oily skin as me when she was a teenager, just without the acne. Some people in my family get eczema on their arms, maybe it's the same reason they have that. Though I guess will never know, now i finally found my cure in dianette pill, which blocks the testosterone. Does that mean my acne was caused by imbalanced hormones? Its just weird thinking I could still be harming my body now doing the same thing that caused acne before.....I just don't see the symptom anymore ... Can anyone relate? does anyone else have the same desire to find out what causes your acne, or why YOU got it, or do you guys not care and just want it go....

I was posting a few weeks ago about how my No-Dairy experiement cleared me up well, along with going on holiday, and having a few glycoic peels.
Well the only things that have changed are the fact that I'm not on holiday anymore, so a lot less sun, and I have brought dairy back into my diet in the past few weeks. My skin has gone ape on me. Not a happy bunny at all, but at least it's supports my theory that dairy is the cause So frustrating, trying to get my head around the fact that I have to cut all dairy out AGAIN to see if it clears up (which is not exactly easy milk is in eeeverything) Sorry for moaning I am just annoyed

I can't get the image tags to work but you can just type the address in. ^^ I love them!!. Jokes. I know they look stupid. This was a jokey first attempt and I got a bit over excited and carried away. I might practise doing just a few, around my red marks as little freckles are pretty and they do distract from the marks really well... am i crazy? I know I will need to be alot better at doing them than in that picture haha. |

That answers the question. You can report/forward abusive PMs to moderators and the person can thus get a warning. That's the better option. 18 Apr 2009 - 7:57
