So I was browsing the interwebs and I came across some products marketing themselves as BB Cream. It's something like a skin healing product mixed with make-up. Has anyone tried one of these creams? Apparently it's incredibly popular in Asia, but I've never even heard about it, let alone been able to find anywhere to buy it in the US. Thoughts? Experiences?

I don't know if there is a thread out there like this already, but I'm curious to know what the difference is in sea salt and epsom salt, and which one is better for the treatment of acne and possibly red marks.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

So after washing my face I saw that a cyst on my chin had shrunk quite a bit since yesterday and was starting to come to head. Of course my thoughts, instead of being the smart and sensible "great! Let's slather some BP and AHA on it and it'll be almost gone by tomorrow!" were instead "Great! Let's grab a needle, poke a hole, and see what happens!" rolleyes.gif So I find a needle, boil it, and start rummaging for rubbing alcohol to disinfect the skin. Well, of course I'm all out, but I did find some hydrogen peroxide. Being the hasty person who craves instant gratification that I am, I figured that would just have to do. So I take a q-tip and dip it in the hydrogen peroxide, apply it to the cyst turned pimple, and it immedietly turns white. I grab a tissue to wipe away what I figured were the little foamy bubbles that hydrogen peroxide makes, and the entire layer of dry skin that was over the cyst just peels away. Now I'm left with a tiny red patch of raw skin, the cyst is still underneath (of course) although it is SLIGHTLY smaller, and it won't stop oozing that clear pus. Needless to say I didn't poke any holes with the needle after this, and I think I've learned my lesson.
Well, there's my backstory. Here's my question: WHAT DO I DO NOW? doubt.gif I need to put something on it to keep it from scabbing and scarring and getting infected. Is there anything that anyone can suggest to help speed up the healing process? ALL HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

So far I've applied some witch hazel and jojoba oil. Is this a good start? I'm afraid to put any BP or AHA on it for fear of it slowing the healing. What do I use? eusa_wall.gif

Can someone point me in the direction where I can buy some ibuprofel gel in the states or online (without horrible shipping prices)? Any help with this?

This may seem like a silly question, but could I break open one of the ibuprofen gel caps and put it on my face with the same effects? eusa_shifty.gif

Here's my story right now. I've been able to clear up my face for the most part by using Dan's Regime, Jojoba oil, AHA lotion, etc., but no matter how hard I try and no matter how well I keep up my skin care routine, roll around the week before my period and my skin starts going crazy. I've gone from having almost completely clear skin (maybe one or two tiny, easily concealable pimples) to having maybe 10 or more pimples on my face, now I'm counting 13 on my collar bones, and a few on my neck, chest, and back, all within the past week and a half. I feel like I'm spending half of my month with acne, and then the next half trying to heal the marks after it goes away. I've decided to try some hormonal balance acupuncture to maybe fix the problem, but that will have to wait until I can save up enough money to do as many follow-up sessions as necessary (I'll be sure to let everyone know how it works out afterwards!).

Anyway, until then, could any ladies tell me if anything has worked for you to keep these monthly breakouts at bay? Any supplements, diet changes, routine changes, ANYTHING! I'm open to anything at this point eusa_think.gif

thanks alot!
