Popped Pimples And Scabbing

28 May 2014 - 08:18 AM

Hi guys,

Today is my birthday and I'm frustrated. Two nights ago I popped a pimple a little too hard and ended up ruining the skin around it as well now I'm left with what looks like a cigarette burn on my face. Mir.

I just wanted to put this out there because everywhere I've read has told me to keep the area moist however that's what I've done and guess what it's still oozing each morning. If I had of left it to dry up and flake off it probably would have been gone by now.

So basically I'm writing this because I think the whole keeping a wound moist is bull crap, or maybe not bull crap but you definitely see faster results if you let it air dry (applying a little moisturizer here and there).

Just my two cents. Happy friggin birthday to me.

Not Sure What These Bumps Are?

09 May 2014 - 09:32 AM

Hi guys,

I've been reading pretty much every thread possible on these forums and still haven't come across anyone sharing a similar story. So here we go.

First off I by no means have severe acne but it is enough to make me wonder what's happening with my body. Going to a doctor never seems to help either because they're always brushing me off with different medications to try, that USUALLY in the end make it worse. Anyways, I had amazing skin just over a month ago... Went to Mexico, came home, face blew up. I thought maybe it would go down after a couple weeks but nope. Now why I'm concerned is this isn't your typical white heads with pus that are easy to pop type pimples, they are ALWAYS just red bumps (papules) that either stay small or grow big but either way they never come to a head. They just continue to make my skin look angry and uneven.

They are concentrated to my right side of my face, lots to the right of my chin and then a few that pop up along the crease from my nose to my mouth.

I've thought a couple different theories haha either 1. It's hormonal 2. They're sweat bumps? Or 3. It's because I've had this weird cough/flem in my throat since Mexico too.... Which seems a little far fetch but maybe it has something to do with my immune system?

Now, I've had perioral dermatitis in the past (mild) but none the less I know what that looks like and it's not it. The bumps are similar but these act far more like pimples, coming and going within 4-5 days, sometimes longer... The red marks seem to last for WEEKS.

Help?! Anyone else experience pimples like this?!

Thanks loves!

I forgot to mention these are almost always never painful or hard to the touch, they feel slightly uneven or if I scrub too hard that's when they might feel a little irritated.

Anyone Ever Experience This?

21 January 2013 - 01:38 PM

For the last 4 months I've had what I believe to be a rash under my lower lip to the right of my mouth. It happened after an appointment at the dentist where I had fillings and a root canal done. I thought it had to do with all the stress I was going through during that appointment, as well as all the drooling/irritation going on in that area. These bumps aren't like normal pimples, as they are very small (no head), pearly looking, and when I wash the area they will usually "pop" and leak clear fluid which dries up and forms a small amount of dry skin that flakes off. Again, these "bumps" are extremely small. I'm so baffled at this rash. I've tried cortisone cream which makes it go away but the rash returns after 5-7 days after stopping the cream, as well I've tried BP and Clindamycin gel which again makes it go away only to have it return 5-7 days after stopping use. So bizarre.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Perioral Dermatitis... Anyone Else?

15 January 2013 - 01:44 PM

Hey everyone,

I've been part of these message boards for a little while now. My first bout with PD was a few years back, then again last year, and now I believe I have a small area of it under my mouth... again. Pretty frustrating stuff. This isn't your typical acne, it's more like a rash (small bumps on a red background that never seem to go away or get better). Usually you need a month or more of antibiotics to get it under control. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I haven't seen a whole lot about it on the forums.

Something I've noticed about my PD is it flares when I've put extreme stress on my face, or when something has ruined my Ph level. It always seems to happen with weather change.
