Looks like it could be mild Perioral Dermatitis. This rash appears on my face too if I use anything overly drying to my skin. If it doesn't clear within a few days, I would consult a doctor about it. A round of antibiotics is needed to clear it.

In Topic: Sudden Hormonal Acne In Adulthood...on Ortho Tri Cyclen.

I just want to say I know exactly how you feel with going through high school and puberty without a trouble with acne, only to develop it later down the road.  It's frustrating and emotionally draining.

Considering you age, it does sound hormonal. Your post intrigued me because I have been on Ortho-tri-cyclen for 4 years now with no problem up until now (I'm around your age as well) and I'm thinking this is a time when our bodys are slowly progressing? I think it's time to find a new hormone balance that is right for you, and the Ortho doesn't sound like it's cutting it. Since Ortho is a low does of estrogen perhaps you need one that has a little bit more? Or a steady balance of hormones instead of one that increases each week?

In Topic: Anyone Ever Experience This?

Thanks pharmteam, I was very apprehensive about putting the cortisone on my face as I've had Perioral Dermatitis in the past... BUT - I was desperate because the clindoxyl gel wasn't working and the rash kept coming back. When I had the same reaction with the cortisone I knew something more serious was going on and to be honest I thought it was my PD returning, recently I caved and went on antibiotics because that's the only thing that ever cures my PD and I'm about half way through the month with decent results but still get some bumps that leak. Interesting to know eczema can be non-itchy, I've literally research my ass off about that and could never find an answer. I'll have to try the neosporin for sure!

In Topic: Nighttime Moisturizer That Does Not Clog Pores

I've been using Cetaphil moisturizing lotion for years. It's lightweight and won't clog pores. In my opinion it's a very simple moisturizer and that's what I like most.
