IMO, you should be fine. Most of those studies about downtime after accutane are based on people taking accutane for 5-6+ months. I guess a good rule of thumb would be however long your on accutane is about as much time as you need off of it.

4 different areas...meaning you had 4 scars? gee i have 15 on one cheek so i'm not sure if he's comfortable doing that many.Oh and what kind of scars did you have?

Well there were 4 pretty deep rolling scars in those areas but I also had a a few little rolling scars in those areas as well.

If you have 15 on one cheek, they'll probably be divided into two or 3 different areas. Like I said, he doesn't charge by the scar or area so there should be no problem.

I had rolling scars.

Had mine done by Dr. David Spencer in Winston-Salem at Piedmont Comestic. Clrskin.com is their website if you want to check them out.

how many scars did you excised? Did you have the consult and procedure done in the same day? and its 500 for a session--meaning how many scars is he willing to do per session?

Sorry, I should have been more detailed when I first posted. I had subcision not excision. I had 4 different areas of my face subcised.

No, the consult and the procedure are done on different days.

500 is for the whole face. He doesn't charge by the area like some places do.
On a side note, I went to one place in NC one time and they were trying to charge me 600 for every quarter sized area.

Subscision is not an instant fix. It takes a long time to see results (as you can see by my photos). It's been about 8 or 9 months since I first started subscision.

I don't know if I'd say it takes a long time to see results. I think that all depends on the person receiving treatment and the skill of the doctor that is performing the treatment. I know after the swelling went down from both of my procedures, I saw the improvements right away.
