Hi, it probably will burn your skin pretty badly, and is unlikely to help your scars in the long term, anyway. The wise thing to do would be to pour it down the drain, imho.

I am still around. Just not as much these days. I just got some more Restylane a few weeks ago, but other than that I think I sort of moved on with my life. I'll never have completely smooth skin like a model, but that's... ok.

If I can insert my own theory here... I think it may be more about the actual act of a needle cutting into and breaking up scar tissue rather than saline doing anything useful. Although, the saline may help to prevent the scar tissue from reconnecting - and of course it would be sweet to plump/smooth your scar out, albeit temporarily. Cheers

Hi, I am going to try Perlane or Restylane myself pretty soon. I have not decided which one, yet. Probably Restylane, since it works best for more superficial indentations, and I have had a doc do it twice. He did a poor job the second time. About cost, Pete: You can get a syringe full for about 200 US from Canada, and docs charge anywhere from 400-1000, so it would be cost effective unless someone missed their scars badly. I suppose it would be a bit obvious to say don't try this at home. shock.gif

Hi, hyaluronic acid and proteins occur naturally in human skin, therefore they are perfectly safe to apply in a topical, or even orally. They will not do anything beneficial for your skin, though, except perhaps as ingredients in moisturizers.

Regarding the first post in that thread:
You can also type in  the phrase "copper peptide cancer" and get many hits at http://www.ncbi.nlm....earch&DB=pubmed
I will leave it to forum readers to sort out the truth, fiction, agendas, and irony in all of this.
