Hey, this is what i used to have back in my teens (now i have marks left on my thighs because of it), it's called folliculitis, there's a tone of research and posts about it in the forums, i suggest you read them all. If it goes away then you're lucky, it means your skin is healing, most of us have it for years and years.Try to take care of it now, so it doesn't become infected.Otherwise i'd advise you to figure out other method of shaving, razors are too harsh for the skin.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info and advice so I know what I'm dealing with. I've seen the word before. Just never knew what it was. I glad someone gave me the heads up. I'll be 23 next month and had it occur since I was 12 when I started shaving. I'm hoping luck is on my side.... Oh have your tried any vitamin E on the scarring? I understand it helps alot. May not get rid of it, but may lighten it up a bit.

ive also had it since i was 12, when i started shaving. Now it's all gone, the inflammation i mean, all thats left is brown marks, not actual scars as in acne scars.I'll try vitamin E though, maybe it helps. They will fade in time, so if you ever get any brown marks, don't worry too much.

Also, whenever you get a few new bumps on the skin, try applying Zynerit twice a day, it works really fast and is the most effective thing i've tried. smile.gif

In Topic: Folliculitis treatment

after having finished this treatment along with taking oral nizoral (ketokonazole) for the past 10 days i can say that my folliculitis is gone now (no more new lesions, inflamed spots and so on), the only thing remaining to get rid of is the annoying brown scars left behind. I'm still using fucidin for the upcoming week and i'll be going to the seaside to tan a bit so that the scars become less visible. It seems that i had fungal folliculitis as it responded quite well to the treatment. I've been told the brown spots will eventually fade, but i  shouldn't expect to get rid of them in a few weeks time, gotta be patient biggrin.gif
During the treatment i've also used Zynerit on the active inflammations and they calmed down in no more than a day smile.gif

good luck to anyone trying to get rid of this very ugly skin disease.

PS: let me know how it works if any of you try this treatment. smile.gif

You make the choice. Everything is choice. Decide right now, or tomorrow when you wake up. To Start Loving yourself!!!!

Whether its abandoning junk food, or going to the gym. Do what you gotta do

I just want to reinforce what he said.WHEN you start loving yourself the whole world changes!
It took me a while to understand it but if you give it some thought you'll understand too.I've been through a f**d up relationship (my first) 4 years ago and believe me i wish i didn't have it.It's all about timing, just take care of yourself, it's the best thing in the whole damn world you can do.And if it gives purpose to your life, try to make your best in helping other people.

I recommend you to read this, it has helped me when i considered "jumping off the boat">> http://www.abraham-h...m/teachings.php
