I really believe that for me, switching products was a main factor in my break outs (under the skin, flesh colored but VERY stubborn and all over)
I promised myself that with starting tretenoin cream I would stick to one regimen for a year and honestly I am clear and my skin tone is improving every day. As soon as I start to think about switching it up I try to remind myself of other times where I'd break out 2-3 weeks after starting something new and all the other problems (dryness, redness etc.)
I know what you mean!!! I am always changing my approach and spending time and energy on figuring out why my skin isn't flawless...
Some days I feel like if I wasn't so concerned with it and in turn- I didn't confuse my skin by changing products/ supplements/ lifestyle etc., the problem would resolve itself.
And yet I am still not patient enough! I have made it 12 weeks without changing anything and my goal is to get to 20 before I assess the condition of my skin.
I will join you in trying not to pick at my skin!
I am really trying to stick to one consistent regimen for the entire 20 week course. THIS HAS BEEN HARD! I think I am a bit compulsive about trying and changing products as a result of feeling a bit hopeless with acne (as mild as it is) that wont budge. I have wanted to start AHA treatment almost every week but have been talking myself out of it. I am increasing the tretenoin now that I've reached 12 weeks to 2 days on 1 day off to try to get some of the bumps off my right cheek. Hoping this won't leave me with too much dryness,
That being said I LOVE the Earth Science moisturizer I mentioned above. I have had no peeling and very minimal dryness while on tretenoin. The moisturizer is not very heavy but does a good job. I just bought a second batch of it- which really says something.
I have been picking badly for most of the past 12 weeks...which is problem for another day. The tretenoin has been pushing junk out of my pores and I can't stop myself from helping it out. I don't have too many red marks as you can see from the pictures but I'm really just lucky...I'm hoping to stop doing this.
I did find out that my thyroid seems to be fine but my vitamin D levels are a bit low.
I will find out about yeast and adrenals around the 20th of November and will find out how to proceed from there.
Thanks for reading!
Forgot to mention the Earth Science Moisturizer is cheap! 8 dollars or so at Whole Foods! I love it.
