About Me

So far, the best thing i can say is, its not about a quick fix. Its about changing your life style. Not only will it get rid of your acne, it will make you healthier and happier.

So top tips? I have really improved my severe sacne through my diet changes mainly, but also my improved routine.

____________________________________________________________
---Loads of water when having breakouts (3-4 pints a day/ the same as 3/4 normal sized bottles/ 56cl)
____________________________________________________________
EXPLAINED
Although this toxic waste should be expelled via the kidneys and the bowels sometimes these organs become overloaded with waste products. When this happens, the body has to find an alternative means of elimination, and this can be the skin, which in turn can lead to breakouts. One way to try and alleviate this problem is by drinking water, which helps to keep the kidneys and bowels clear, allowing them to function properly and perform the role of expelling this waste.

- High fibre diet, helps your body to balance hormones
___________________________________________________________
EXPLAINED
The fiber content of foods may affect your hormones. low-fiber foods may release energy quickly and can alter your hormonal balance. The change in hormones can affect your pores and their production of oil, making acne worse. So high fibre is important, but also. It can also help lower cholesterol, and regulate blood sugar levels which are another vital thing to be aware of with acne.
___________________________________________________________
-low sugar/refined foods diet (replace sweet snacks with berries like dried cranberries high in anti-oxidants, and savoury with nuts high in natural fat, and raw fruit and
veg)
__________________________________________________________
EXPLAINED
According to the book "The Clear Skin Diet," by Dr. Alan Logan of Harvard Medical School's Mind-Body Medical Institute and nutritionist Valori Treloar, when you eat foods with a low glycemic index--foods rich in sugar and simple starches--blood levels of the hormone insulin immediately spike. One of the downstream effects of insulin is that it also increases blood levels of androgens, including testosterone. As a result, the authors conclude that sugar can cause acne.

-Fish/omega 3 oil or capsules (Omega 3 fights inflammation)
___________________________________________________________
EXPLAINED
Essential fatty acids found in fish oil increase the levels of anti-inflammatory prostaglandins in the body.Increasing EPA, which is an anti-inflammatory prostaglandan and is an Omega 3 fatty acid, can help restore balance between Omega 3 and Omega 6 (Omega 6 being pro-inflammatory), and reduce the inflammation in the body thus reduce acne. Also, Omega 3 fatty acids found in fish oil can help regulate the production of androgens. Androgens, hormones that promote sebum production, are particularly active during teenage years.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Get enough sleep (my biggest down fall, but it is proven skin heals best at night or while you sleep)
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Excersize (although it makes you sweat, vital for helping your body supply blood to your skin and flush out toxins)
