#3402538 Do You Use Makeup To Cover Acne

Posted by Clueless on 20 December 2013 - 09:26 PM

I have learnt that it's how you use make up to hide your acne. You have to find the product that is right for your skin which is the hardest part. You can get coverage for the acne but if your makeup cakes up or your dry acne and patches show through and your face looks blotchy then that's when the make up has not worked for you and that's when narrow minded people tend to talk.

For guys it is slowly getting better as Asia is slowly paving the way for men to wear makeup in public.

#1825040 Differin and BP 2.5% at the same time?

Hi

I have just stared using Differin today. I was using BP 2.5% day and night and it seemed to help the acne but my doctor decided to prescribe me Differin gel 01%. I've heard that it doesn't work for most people and breaks you out - I don't like the sound of that.

It's taken 4 months for my acne to be as clear as it is now (3 months on BC, then introduced minomycin into my routine for a month and today starting differin). I don't want to have another break out because of differin. I've had enough of pimples.

This is my current routine:

Day:
Cleanser: Benzac AC was 5% or MD formulations facial cleanser (depends on skins mood)
Moisturiser: Estee Lauder DayWear Plus
Oil: Rub Tea tree and lavender oil on my face (I don't dilute this)
Cream: heaps of BP 2.5% rubbed into the skin
Medication: BC, minomycin

Night:
Cleanser: Benzac AC was 5% or MD formulations facial cleanser (depends on skins mood)
Moisturiser: Bio oil or jojoba oil (never both)
oil: Rub Tea tree and lavender oil on my face (I don't dilute this)
Cream: heaps of BP 2.5% rubbed into the skin (now to be replaced by Differin gel)
Medication: minomycin

Weekly:
Once a week I use MD formulations face & body scrub
Twice a week I use eventone glycolic acid 25%

After writing out my routine, I realise that I exfoliate a lot   confused.gif Therefore, differin already has it work cut out right? So technically I should see it clearing up my acne faster correct?

I'm so reluctant to let go of my BP since I know it works. Is it possible for me to use BP ontop of the Differin?

Should I even use Differin and how do I know if it's working or not??? I've been doing a lot of reading on Differin and honestly it's so technical I don't truely understand how it really works.

I know I've asked so many questions...thanks in advance for the replies!!!
