Gelatin

I purchased some Great lakes gelatin as I have read how it is supposed to be really helpful in healing the gut, my digestion is bad so I thought this would be quite handy. Everytime I use it, either just mix it with some water or make some jello, my face gets greasy later on. I know when my face gets greasy it will lead to a breakout. Due to the gelatins health benefits I don't want to give it up but does anyone know why this may be? Could it just be that it is clearing out my system and working on healing whilst this could be just some detox effect?


Food Combining: Starch And Protein?

I have read in a few places you shouldn't have starch and protein in the same meal, for as long as I can remember I have had both of these together. My digestion is pretty brutal and I know this won't just be the cause but has anyone else come across this or have an opinion on not mixing the two?

I'm going to start taking l-glutamine to see if he can help heal my gut and help my digestion. Just wondering how much would i need to take on a daily basis though for it to have any effect?

Glycemic Index For Honeydew Melon

Does anyone have any idea of the Glycemic index for honeydew melon? I know watermelon is high and i feel it was responsible for causing me to break out. I love honeydew melon's but i was concerned that they may be high as well, i can't seem to find the answer anywhere.
