#3380301 Saw Palmetto! Any Sufferers Had Good Results?

Posted by mikito on 04 September 2013 - 03:47 AM

I am also starting saw palmetto a month ago, but it,s too soon to say something, but I,ll keep reporting. I am also interesting to know if someone has any success with SP or not, and report their experience with this stuff.

Gem84, what dosage are you actually taking? I am taking 160 mg, and I know  I should take at least 360 mg, but I am scared because I am also taking Diane 35 + 50 mg zinc + 50 mg pumpkin seed oil.

Thank you so much for answering my questions.  I am 43 years, suffering from severe cystic acne  since I was a teen. I  have been  taking diane35 ( ciproterone acetate)  for three years, and my acne is better than before Diane 35, but definitely not cured.

Three months ago, I started taking zinc gluconate 32 mg x day, and I noticed some improvement, but not cured.

I was thinking of increasing the dosage of zinc gluconate (45 mg), adding Panthotenic Acid ( 500 mg as wingedserpent), and saw palmetto.

If you notice hair lost in future because of B5, you should take L-cysteine, because I think B5 depletes L- cysteine and cause hair lost. I have never taken B5, but I have read the other thread ( holystic forum) called B5 hair lost and explain in detail the problems they had with B5 and hair lost. I am telling you so, in case it can be helpfull for you, but I don't want to scare you.

I am posting to report my great success with zinc gluconate ( 30 mg/ twice a day), amazing 80% cured, better for me than accutane and even Diane 35. Actually I am taking diane 35 + zinc, almost cured after three months, but still oilly face.

My next step is B5 (500 mg). I would like to ask Fredbelgian, didn't you have hair lost or other adverse side effect with B5? I am little scary.

Thank you FredBelgian, I,ll try B5 + l-carnitine, but I am afraid of taking higher doses of vitamine A. Actually I am experimenting just with 32 mg of zinc gluconate.

But it's a mess, some people has reported to have success with zinc + chromium, others with vitamine D3, others with B5 + L-carnitine, and you vitamine A, I want to try all of them, but separately in order to know what work and what doesn't work. I will keep updating.

#3332799 Vitamin D Has Cured Me Of Oily Skin And Acne

Thank you sebumsucks for sharing your personal experience with us.

I am female, 43 years, and still suffering from cystic acne. I have tried everything included three courses of Accutane. But I haven't found the cure yet.

Actually I am trying with zinc gluconate, for two weeks and It´s too soon to get conclusion.

Very interesting what you tell about vitamine D3, I,ll try it if zinc doesn't work. And after that I will try B5 + carnitine, because wideserpent had sucess with this stuff.

The only thing I can assure, is that sun exposure is not the clue, because I live in Spain, in an Island and we have too much sun. This island is Ibiza, and if you have heard of it, its famous for sun and beaches. And sun is not the clue.

Fredbelgian, your testimony is very important for me. I am 43 years, female, and still suffering from cystic acne. I would like to ask you when you say your state is 100% clear, do you mean you don't have clogged pores, because I don't have pustules but I have little hard sebum under my skin, that break my skin, and I cant avoid picking, and  start bleeding. do you know what I mean?

The question is at the time you were taking b5 +lcarnitine, do those hard sebum in your skin disapear?
