Okay, up front, I'm awful at taking pills. I just really suck at it, no matter how many reminders I leave myself or whatever I do. So taking accutane everyday for the past 4 months has been a struggle. I usually take it one day then skip the next, then take it the next day, skip the next etc etc. I'm worried that I might build up a resistance or it just might not cure me for good. Right now my skin is perfectly clear and I have only had 3 cysts the entire 4 months. Please don't scold me for not taking my pills properly..I beat myself up about it enough as it is. Do you think this might have a horrible effect on my outcome? And could my body build a resistance?

I started accutane a few weeks ago and I just started a new birth control (nuva ring) right as I started tane. I'm in a monogomous relationship and we have never used condoms, so getting into the habit was quite difficult. At the beginning of tane, we didn't use them but now we do I know its imperative to use two forms though. Are there any people who only use one form of bc?? or have this same problem with their sig. other?

So acne has completely turned my social life inside out. I have one friend that I hang out with on occasion when my face looks okay. But since I had acne, I quite hanging out with my friends and completely lost touch with them all. Most of them went off to college. My boyfriend and I are usually together when he's not at work. Tonight though, he decided to go hang out with his friends. I'm stuck at home because I don't have any!! I don't blame him for going out. I even told him he should at least have fun (cause we don't even have much in common). It's just aggravating because 1. I don't have friends and 2. I don't even know where to find some.  

Just getting my frustrations out a bit, but if you have advice, shoot some my way.

Let me hear your job stories. I need something...
I haven't had a job in over 4 months, and before that, it was about a year. I can't handle getting a job because of my acne. I have cystic acne on my chin. I REALLY want to work because I hate not doing anything. I still live with my dad and he just thinks I'm the most lazy worthless person on the earth. I would tell him its because of my acne, but he had it too and so he would say that because he went through it, I could too. My boyfriend is constantly paying for everything for me. My mom sends me $100 every 2 weeks which gets me gas and tampons. I really want to work and depend on myself...

So....info please.

I'm not sure where to post this..but I was hoping someone could maybe give me a little insight as to what the hell my body is doing. I've had various skin conditions since age 11. When one was cured, I would get another. It went on for a while.

Age 12: Shingles (lasted for a week)
Age 13: Only at night, my legs would get covered in hives and my feet would swell up tremedously. By morning it was gone. I was cured by taking zyrtec and zantac 75.
Age 14: Consistent sweating. I always sweat from my underarms for no reason. My shirts would be soaked before I even got to school in the mornings. It was fixed with drysol.
Age 15: Warts. Within about one week, I got around 7 warts on my hands. I had them all frozen off.
Age 16: Cystic acne. I still have it but I am currently taking accutane.

It seems as though my body is dealing with some random problem through my skin. I don't know why I've had so many skin disorders. The only thing that stands out is right before I got shingles, my parents began to split and my mom left. Very stressful, depressing time..

But now I am nearly 19, and it seems like theres a big issue..

Any ideas???
