Makeup Accutane

28 May 2014 - 10:03 AM

Help! My skin has been dehydrated for as long as I remember. I am on my second week of accutane. My face is dry, but not extremely. Still very oily. I'm having the worst time with makeup. My skin is not necessarily dry, but my makeup looks horrible. It's all patchy. I am using great moisturizers, cetaphil spf 15 with jojoba oil in the morning, and cerave cream with jojoba oil at night. Help me! I hate wearing makeup because I know it looks awful but I feel self conscious without it! I'm currently using Clinique even better but I don't like it.

Flaking Help!

24 May 2014 - 07:51 AM

Hi I am on accutane, and I think my skin is just super dehydrated from when I used duac and retin a. I am on day 6 of accutane, and using cerave cream. Whenever I try and apply makeup, it gets all flaky. Help me!!

Wits End

04 April 2014 - 06:55 AM

I need some help.

So I had been clear for a long time(over a year) on the following regimen:

Am: cetaphil normal-oily skin cleanser
Duac
Cetaphil moisturizer
Oracea

Pm: cetaphil cleanser again
Retin a micro .04
Cetaphil moisturizer
Ortho tri cyclen

Then, I started getting occasional cysts on my chin, so I went to ortho cyclen. This cleared me up completely for two months. I stopped taking oracea, and my skin went downhill quickly. I started getting lots of little pimples all over my face in places I never broke out before.

Now, I am back on ortho tri cyclen(a week into it) still using cetaphil products, and same topicals, but a stronger antibiotic. I am breaking out very badly! My face is also very dry flaky, and oily at the same time. Two days ago I tried to use cerave cleanser and moisturIzer, and I woke up today with huge spots and clogged pores everywhere. I'm back on cetaphil now, but please help!!

Help Get Rid Of The Flakes

31 March 2014 - 04:21 PM

Hello fellow acne sufferers,

I have been on Duac(benzoyl peroxide + clindamycin) and retin a micro .04 % now for over a year, and my skin is so oily, yet so flaky. I am trying to cure my flakiness. I am currently using cetaphil moisturizer, but it is not doing enough.

Here are my options:

-jojoba oil

-Cetaphil moisturizing cream

-aquaphor

-cerave pm moisturizer
