Week 34

Hi everyone! Still loving the regimen. I rarely break out anymore, and if I do, it's 1 or 2 pimples that are easily covered with makeup. I actually get complimented on my skin now! With makeup on, my skin looks flawless. I even recently got a job in my field as a new graduate. I could look my interviewer in the eye without feeling embarrassed, allowing me to speak confidently.. I even got offered 10k more than what I had asked for! Thank you Dan, you have seriously changed my life for the better.

In Topic: Acne Free When In Europe, But Not In Us

17 August 2014 - 11:26 PM

Same thing happened to me! I spent the month of July in Europe with 90-95% clear skin, and didn't wash my makeup off at all some days (partying until 8am does that to ya!), yet still managed not to break out. Back home to Canada and my skin starts breaking out pretty much overnight (although mild and manageable thanks to the regimen)… I think it has something to do with what Europe allows in their food in terms of chemicals.. and maybe the water? Water in Europe felt more gentle on my skin, as crazy as it sounds.

I just wan't to say that your skin is looking AMAZING! And I'm sorry about your recent breakout...but, at least you know what caused it! That is a good thing! It would be awful to have that happen out of no where for no reason. Glad to hear that the regimen is working for you. I am now just going on week three so I hope to see as good as results as you! I decided to never try the jojoba oil as well....I'd rather just deal with the flaky skin, which for me isn't that bad.

Thank you! It's nice to see that this thread is helping some people out there smile.png. That's the whole reason why I started taking photos every few weeks. How's the regimen working for you?

Your skin looks amazing! I'm glad the DKR worked out so well for you!  Wasn't the same story for me, haha, but at least I found something else! I used jojoba oil too, when my skin got really dry. While it helped with the dryness, it broke me out a LOT too, plus it made my face yellow. I'm Asian so I already have yellow undertones so I just looked SUPER YELLOW. I used Pond's cold cream when I get super dry in the winter now. It doesn't break me out and it's really moisturising!

Thanks so much! I'm really surprised at how much of a difference it has made in my skin, although I still break out occasionally, it's bearable. What did you find that worked for you if you don't mind me asking?? And the Pond's sounds great, I've seen it around and always eye it but my cerave has been working great! Maybe I'll buy it for whenever I feel like switching it up gasp.gif haha

Week 27

Hello friends! I just got back from a month long vacation in Europe, which was absolutely amazing.. and surprisingly, my skin cleared up dramatically while I was away (am I the only one this happens to?). I don't know if it's something in the water or what, but the moment I washed my face I felt like the water was much more.. soft/gentle on my skin, in comparison to North America. I even skipped 2 uses of the regimen and never broke out!!! The one zit on my cheekbone I developed right when I got back home - go figure. But the rest of my face is nice and smooth… Hmmm wonder what it is in Europe that helped my skin so much. Any ideas? Anyways, I've been using the regimen as usual, no changes at all.

In Topic: Are You Hesitant On Getting A Cortisone Shot?

Agreeed! That stuff is amazing. My dermatologist gives me about 5 or 6 everytime I go in.

I swear, some cysts just will NOT leave without them…. Thank god for cortisone shots. LOL.

In Topic: What Type Of Spot Is This On My Chin? (Pics)

That's definitely cystic acne. Take ibuprofen, ice it and whatever you do, don't pick. If you're allergic to BP, i recommend using a sulfur mask to help calm down the spots.
