25 years old male here. I never had a problem with acne during my teenage years. When I was 19, I started getting the occasional pimple here and there, but nothing serious so I ignored it.
When I was 23 years old, I started to improve my general health by exercising to bulk up, taking multivitamins, eating healthier and using various moisturizers (never used one until then). BIG MISTAKE for my skin. I started to develop mild, but extremely persistent acne and by the time I was 24 it spread to my chest, back and shoulders.
After numerous dermatologists and every medical treatment besides Accutane that failed and left me with Rosacea-like skin, I decided to take things into my own hands.
I've made myself treatment plans that have been keeping acne under control, but once I stop them, everything comes back.
So, I've decided to really dedicate myself to finding a cure for this disease by researching and testing various potential permanent cures, within my own limits.
