In Topic: Need Your Thoughts On This Multivitamin (Earth Source)

20 June 2013 - 06:10 PM

the results were dramatic when I started taking zinc (less than a week), my skin improved especially the healing of old acne. Taking chromium and cinnamon took about a month before results were noticeable. I am 90 to 95% acne free, I think I can achieve 100% clear skin if I correct this with proper eating habits tongue.png
Now, I can trying to find a solution for my acne scars but I am already thankful on my current state.
Side-effect of taking chromium GTF is weightloss for me -- which is good!

I didn't have any dramatic results with zinc...I take chelated zinc piccolinate. What kind & amount do you take?
Also, are you taking the chromium separately, or in your multivitamin? My acupuncturist recommended it to me recently.
For weight loss, acai berry supplements can help. They helped me lose weight and I didn't even need to lose it!

I Am taking chromium polynicotinate GTF 200 mcg and zinc glycinate 22mg

regarding, using colgate toothpaste - yes change to a non-flouride toothpaste; It has definitely cleared my acne around the mouth (but I think it is not classified under acne but a different derm term); also colgate has SLS, sugar, antibac which just damages the natural bacteria balance in our mouth. If you were able to check the the ingredients list of any colgate toothpaste, you will wonder why are you putting all this chemicals on your mouth. Meanwhile using a non-flouride toothpaste will be 100% better for you.

In Topic: Why Does My Body Require Higher Maintenance Compared To Teens My Age?

11 June 2013 - 04:48 PM

I feel your pain, why I have to do highly controlled diet, exercise, skin care and supplement regimen. Any misstep, and acne may get worse :D My advice, since your still a teen is just enjoy life, smile more and have a positive mindset. Remember, appearances are only skin deep, it is how we see things in our life that is more important and worthy of pursuit.

Hope that helps :)
