Picked up some 'Eucerin Anti Redness Neutralising Day Fluid' earlier, used it once and very impressed, seems to even skin tone, and hopefully won't hinder the Accutane progress :)

That's a fantastic improvement, man! Congratulations! It's weird actually how similar our stories are - I've tried all the usual things the doctors recommended, but I never took them up on their offer of accutane. Now I'm out of education and into full time employment (and I'm the business end of 22 years old... sigh), I've got a GP appointment later this week for an NHS referral for the drug. It feels like I'm at the very start of an incredibly long journey, but your posts are encouraging.

Once again, well done on getting cleared! smile.png

Cheers for the reply … Yep, I think its a good move to get exams and uni out the way first, then go for Accutane.

Once I'd seen my GP i got the NHS 'choices' letter 4 days later, then made my appt, one local hospital was a 3 month wait and one was 5 weeks, so I went with the 5 week one … After I saw the dermatologist she gave me an info booklet to look over and asked me to come back in 4 weeks once I'd read it, I was a little annoyed because I'd already researched side effects online etc etc. So I called the next day and asked for a cancellation, so went back in 2 weeks instead of the 4, and got my prescription.

Hopefully in the last 2.5 months I will completely clear as I'd say in 70% there now, just started taken Vitamin E supplements and Vitamin E cream at night to (hopefully!) help with scarring.

Well its been around 3.5 months since I started Accutane now, and as I can now seen improvements I thought I'd post some images.

I am on 60mg a day currently, started on 30mg a day for a month, then 40mg for a month, 60mg for 2 months and 80mg planned for final 2 months.  So I have 2.5 months left now.

Hopefully the images will give some encouragement to those who've just started, having an IB or thinking about starting the medication etc.

I use Nivea day moisturiser and it has SPF15 'built in' .... doesn't show at all and helps keep skin non-dry.

Applying it 4-5 times a day as im on 50mg of Accutane a day.

  Hope that helps?   Cheers.
