My Skin Cannot Stand Moisturizers At All, What To Do?

09 September 2014 - 06:48 PM

Soo... I've tried tons of moisturizers and every single one of them makes my acne worse. I don't get new acne I think but it makes the existing acne so much worse than before.

By just using water seems to be the best regimen for me.. But I get so dry after showering for example... So what the heck can I do? :(

Dermarolling/stamping Hypertrophic (Raised) Scars Or Not?

07 September 2014 - 08:50 AM

Hey everybody,

I have been dermastamping my raised (hypertrophic and not keloid) scars for a while now and I'm not sure I see an improvement yet, however I've read different sites saying different things regarding this matter... anyone knows for sure of some scientific proof that it is good/bad to do it?

On one hand I've read that it is good:
http://forums.owndoc...ertrophic-scar/
http://forums.owndoc...rtrophic-scars/
http://owndoc.com/de...arolling-works/

http://www.drdavidmd...dermaroller.php

On another that it is bad:

So... what should I do?

Use Or Not Use Led After Dermastamping Hypertrophic Scars?

06 September 2014 - 04:00 PM

Hello folks,

I have been dermastamping for a while now and the two last times I included using red/infrared LED lamps to increase collagen growth. What I didn't think of was my hypertrophic scars which are a product of excess collagen growth. Is it bad to use the LED lamps on my hypertrophic scars after dermastamping?

I found this source:
http://www.rheumatol...ting_Diodes.pdf

Where it says the following: "imposed on the individual’s genetic predisposition have been

implicated in the pathologenesis of these scar types. It has
recently been proposed that interleukin (IL)-6 signaling
pathways play a central role in this process and thus, that IL-6
pathway inhibition could be a promising therapeutic target
for scar prevention. As LED therapy has been shown to
decrease IL-6 mRNA levels it may potentially be preventing aberrant healing."

The problem is that I have lots of atrophic scars very very close to the hypertrophic scars.

Very thankful for any answer.

Dermarolling/stamping And Using Lemon Juice As Toner

26 June 2014 - 08:24 AM

Can I still use the lemon juice as a toner for my daily wash procedure even after I've been dermarolling/stamping? I use it as my toner.

Every Moisturizer Breaks Me Out...

05 June 2014 - 05:17 PM

I am not sure if I do it wrong, but I don't think I do, but every moisturizer ever breaks me out. I've tried tons of them and even the expensive ones doesn't help shit. My skin tone is very dry especially after showering and it is annoying that i can't stand hydrated without worsening my acne.

Anyone has a fix?
