#3345900 How ya feelin' about your acne today?

Posted by Cassie Reannan on 05 May 2013 - 04:01 AM

I spoke too soon, got 4 pimples this morning and 2 are those deep pimples that no matter how many times you pop it it comes back eusa_wall.gif

That's annoying sad.png

If you can though, try and not pop them. I used to have these deep pimples that repeatedly came up in the same spot on my cheek. And I swear that's why they always came back in the same spot - because I would mess with them instead of letting them heal on there own. When I left them alone and let them go through their 'life cycle' (?) they healed completely and I haven't had acne pop up in that exact spot since then.

Actually I find that the big whiteheads I get I pop and put AHA on it straight away, and it goes away. Speaking of that, that little breakout I had is now gone! 2 days! rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif I am speechless, my skin is so good atm..

I have had acne since I was 14 and now I`m 36. Used hydrogen peroxide, seen a dermatologist and used proactive. Don`t get me wrong, yeah proactive works but it contains benzoyle peroxide, which causes pre mature aging. Peroxide kills all cells (if Im wrong), alcohol dries and irritates. So I started using this organic product that is well reputable for anti-aging from Whole Foods. Also, after I wash my face every morning and night, I get some morning urine and a cotton ball. I use it all over my face like a toner. I leave it on for an 1/2 hr. to an hr and rinse it off with cool water. My acne seems to hurt a lot less and it is well worth it. Other acne products are very damaging and health risks to your skin especially (seriously)

Do you know whats damaging for your skin? Acne. So it's a lose lose situation. I tried the whole natural thing for 2 years, it didn't do anything for me as it didn't clear up my skin. I would rather have a few wrinkles than acne and thats saying something...

Hey,

Your acne looks so similar to mine it's insane. It's even in the same spot. I had acne in my teens and got it under control with natural remedies and birth control. A few years later it came back and it was so bad I went to the doctor. She prescribed me my old birth control and doxycycline. The doxy is just kicking in now after two months, antibiotics take a long while to work. I have considered seeing a derm, but if I did they would just send me off with another antibiotic or a cream that won't work.

I'm thinking that gaining muscle has turned your testosterone wild and your acne is back. Testosterone in big doses effects your sebum supply. If you can give your body time to work with the antibiotic, if not try the regimen. I am taking doxy, the pill for acne, doing the regimen and taking extra supplements and it's only taken a month for my skin to become 70 - 80% clear. I understand your anxiety about what people think, I still feel that and made the mistake of slathering my face in make up. There are plenty of members here than can support you, including myself.
