In Topic: Fractional Co2 Laser Results

13 March 2013 - 01:36 PM

i havent had it done but might do it in the future. i saw a plastic surgeon who said i would need 5-6 treatments spaced one month apart. i think he mentioned something about how it takes months for collagen production and that i would start to see results after a few sessions so i am guessing at least 3-6 months or so.

My derm said the same thing to me that I would need a couple of treatments to get my desired results and he would do them with one month gap in between too. Hopefully we will get our desired results.

Too see reasonable improvement - you would need at least 2-3 sessions over at least a 3 month period (ideally longer though) + a few more months to see the actual final results (3-6 months).

That sounds more like fraxel restore, not a co2 laser.

Hey I got one question and hope you can help out, do you think that getting two treatments done with one month gap help produce new collagen faster? and can fractional co2 laser help ice pick scars as well?

Thanks

U need to wait for more than a year after accutane to treat ur scars.laser needs to be combined with subcision and other treatments.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I know I need to wait for a year but I am really depressed by these scars and wanted some assurance if laser will improve them one I decide to do it and is 60-70% improvement reasonable expectation?
