#3354088 Wisdom Teeth Removal While On Accutane

Posted by Helton on 01 June 2013 - 08:22 PM

U should stop taking Accutane if u want to undergo any surgeries since it makes wounds heal differently.

But always consult your dermatologist to see if there's any ways to work around it. :)

#3349963 Peanut!peanuts!checking- Food Test Day!

Posted by Helton on 19 May 2013 - 11:40 PM

The biggest problem with peanut nowadays is that it's often hydrogenated, which means trans fat = very bad for the body as it raises cholesterol, etc.

Also, commercial peanut butter almost always have other kind of oil mixed in it, cheap oil such as cotton seed oil.

The reason why they do that is because if it's purely peanut, then the peanut oil would separate from the butter which doesn't appeal to costumers, and it has a way shorter self life.

Just always try to get an organic one and it should be fine! :)

#3349936 Notice How Almost All The Females Here Have Boyfriends, Yet The Guys Are Ince...

We already know that personality matters little and is second to looks, so if I act and behave normally, and get constantly rejected how is it not a looks issue then?

I dunno, if it makes you feel any better most girls I know wouldnt let acne on a guy stop them from going out with him  if he were also cute, funny, smart or had any of the usual endearing characteristics, especially f he were confident. Acne usually means extra testosterone anyway. I have seen a lot of cute guys, some of them had acne, I never really made a big deal of it in my mind.

Ok well looking at my pic I clearly have higher then normal test levels for a male, i'm in good shape, I have masculine face structure, I even photoshopped myself to not have acne in this picture...

Yet I have been rejected probably 200 times or so, approaching girls on the street or on the bus I have even approached girls who said I was hot to their friends or showed interest in some way at me either by starring or smiling at me, and it still led to rejections. The only thing I can blame it on is my acne, as when I was in highschool people used to call me dirty because I had some of the worse acne in my classes, yet I had good everything else.

Also before I got acne I was very popular and liked in middle school and everyone laughed at my jokes and I was considered the second funniest kid in the school I think and I grinded on 2 girls at once at the prom.

I highly doubt it's your looks that's troubling you.

So think about this, what else do you have beside your looks? :)

Day 4

Nothing to report yet. I just wanted to say that I woke up this morning feeling grateful for all the nice things that you guys said to me. It makes me realise how much support I have, and that means the world to me smile.png

What do you people take your Accutane with? I've seen people taking it with fish oil capsules. I was told not to take any supplements when on this, so is taking fish oil okay? I've also heard of people taking it with olive oil, although I don't want to eat tablespoons of olive oil so has anyone tried olive oil capsules?

Ahhhh so many questions!! Thanks guys smile.png

I think the guideline is just for actual vitamin supplements, like Vitamin A. Although I don't think accutane is the same as just any vitamin A, I guess we shouldn't get anymore of it so it wouldn't be interfering.

However, things like oil shouldn't be a problem because it doesn't have any vitamins in it. smile.png

When you choose a olive oil capsule, just make sure it's organic, cold pressed, extra virgin and all that jazzzzzz, haha!

It could be beneficial, but not harmful as long as you are not eating excess amount of fat from other sources daily.

Plus, you don't really need to add more fat if you are taking the accutane pill with a normal meal cooked with oil.

Olive oil is nice though, people feed their puppies olive oil to make their fur shine. I would like my hair to shine, hehe badgrin.gif

#3347707 Tired Of This..

Posted by Helton on 11 May 2013 - 02:50 PM

My psychology class actually just started a subject relating to self esteem.

So what's self esteem - it's the difference between "actual self" and "expectation".

The closer of your "expectation" to your "actual self", the higher your esteem will be, and vice versa.

For example, some people would commit suicide because they got a grade less than an "A", that's because they have abnormally high "expectation" to themselves, and they don't know how to cope with it when their "actual self" doesn't fit the "expectation".
And true story, that happens to students in Universities.

So relating this to your concern, your parents say you look good, but you don't think so.

Maybe they are telling the truth, but you don't see it because you are holding a high "expectation" to yourself. (Which isn't a bad thing at all)

Not telling you to lower your standard, but maybe try to take it easy on yourself.

( And I totally believe they are telling the truth, looking at your profile photo it confuses me why wouldn't you think you look gorgeous.)

Just the same as most people would think getting a B or just passing a class would be satisfied enough, why insist on getting an A when you could still feel happy and relaxed with a B.

Our body is just a machinery that we use to experience the world with.

Beautiful or not, enjoy life while it lasts.

#3328919 Makeup For Men... So Confused

Posted by Helton on 23 February 2013 - 03:36 PM

I visited that website you provided, and it's a bit confusing to me too, but I managed to find the "Foundation" page. There's actually a few different type of foundation depending on their cover and finish, but I think "IT" has the best coverage out of all.

http://www.beautycha...ase-p-1863.html

Now, the thing about mineral powder is that it's hard to find a perfect match for your skin tone... But since you said u want to be darker, then I guess the color "Golden Medium" would be the best to try out~
And you will need a brush for applying mineral powder
http://www.beautycha...uki-p-1823.html
^This one is exactly what I used for applying everyday mineral powder.

From my experience with make up, mineral powder is very good at evening out skin tone and neutralizing redness. Though the coverage is somewhere from light ~ medium.

If you really have noticeable redness, then u would need a liquid foundation to cover it up. Revlon Colorstay Whipped is my favorite medium~full coverage foundation.

And remember, the BIGGEST tip I always give out to people about make up is that, ALWAYS use a primer before applying any type of foundation. Primer helps the foundation to stay put and last longer and look better.

Smashbox primer is a good one.
