It started out as a big red lump 2.5 months ago and has become smaller since, but it won't go away. It doesn't hurt but it looks a bit inflamed still. Why is it taking so long?

I think I fucked up with retin-a a few days ago. I have only used it once on my chin and the area around my mouth. I now have this strange bumpy rash around the corner of my mouth (see picture), problably applied too much there. My chin is fine though, only a bit dry.

Should I put cetaphil/vaseline on it or just leave it be? I'm not using retin-a untill my skin is normal again.

I started using zinc oxide cream on my face two weeks ago, it works really well for reducing redness/pih marks. I use it as a spot treatment because applying the cream all over my face makes me break out.

Yesterday I applied it on a few red marks on my left cheek before I went to sleep, and I woke up with some kind of rash I'm afraid it will become inflamed..

Does anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?
