I'm almost a month into my vitamin D2 regimen...time for a refill! Oil production has increased, but I'm not sure if it's because of the humid weather or something else. I started taking ViraStop once or twice a day to help prevent a cold I think I'm getting, and I'm hoping it helps with inflammation too.

hey girl! you look beautiful with and without makeup biggrin.png

you did good!

im still playing the guessing game.

taking cinnamon pills after every meal clears me up almost overnight.

and keeps me from breaking out

so now i think i have insulin resistance.

they work like a dream!

but i know too much is bad so i bought alpha lipoic acid (ala) which i think i remember you take them too? right?

and q-absorb co-q10

and so far so good! smile.png

i had an ultrasound done and the doctor called me but i missed the call

and when i call back she was gone for the day and they said she wont be back til september 3rd, and only she can tell me the results!

so thats a bit frustrating!

i just hope they arent bad.

k well!

i hope the facials are going well smile.png

wanted to see how you were!!!

keep fighting! smile.png

Hey! Thanks for the kind words! I still dread taking off my makeup at night...it's like a horror show lol. Do you have any tips on how to control oily skin? My foundation makes me more oily, and the weather is so humid that blotting papers and setting powder don't even help.

What cinnamon pills are you taking, and how many? Glad that's working for you, even if it is a quick fix. Did you get your insulin tested along with your hormones?

I hate it when doctors have you wait on test results....but if they were bad, they would have told you, so it's probably not too serious!

How is everything else? Are you feeling better about your skin in general? It seems like you found a good routine that works for you!!!

Stay strong!!! <3

i feel like ive found a way to control my skin from breaking out like crazy

but its not cured yet.

and i dont really have super oily skin personally... but when i use this aloe vera spray that i got from Sprouts it really works at keeping me matte but not drying my skin out bad.

http://www.amazon.co...aloe vera spray

i take  just regular cinnamon (with cassa :X) with any meal that i suspect will raise my blood sugar

so with fruit

and if i eat anything im not suppose to! like ice cream or fried food sick.gif which ive been doing again.. ugh. lol

but the cinnamon helps

I wanted to make a topic of all of the things that have made a drastic improvement in my scars AND red marks.

I had been taking Zinc and Cod Liver Oil pills for a while but not consistently.

I'm trying out the Paleo Diet and read in the book the suggested supplements and they were: Fish Oil, Zinc, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.

All of which are very beneficial for the skin.

And Vitamin C seemed to be my personal missing link, as soon as i started taking 1,000 mg/day (500mg in the morning/500mg at night) my scars started filling in noticeably and continue to do so, and I've only been taking all of these vitamins/supplements consistently for 2 weeks.

I also apply Apple Cider Vinegar (followed by the taping method) as a toner which for me helps combat break outs and lightens red marks.

I hope this helps anyone out there.

I'm a firm believer in healing from the inside and this new routine has only further supported it.

I'd like to mention that I eat a lot of fruits and foods with natural Vitamin C but sometimes that isn't always enough for the body. (Same applies to Zinc and Fish Oil, in my case)

I hope this helps even just 1 person smile.png

That's awesome, your new regimen sounds like it's on the right track. smile.png What mouthwash do you use? I'm finding it hard to find a mouthwash with no sulfites/ SLS, and I have been using one with tea tree oil.

Also, are you still taking the raw green smoothie powder? I'm thinking of adding that to my regimen

crest sick.gif haha i havent really put too much thought into the toothpaste and mouthwash i use! i should

whered you get the one with tea tree oil?

and i try to use the raw green smoothie powder, but i tend to forget, cause i dont enjoy it that much ha

I got it from a whole foods store, it's the desert essence brand. Crest caused redness around the mouth for me, so I'm only using natural toothpaste and mouthwash now (well, as natural as possible at least). Glad your skin is doing well!

What brand vitamin C are you taking? I had some success with the cvs brand, but they put too much crap in the capsule so I don't take it every day now.

i take estro-c! and if they have it at whoole foods, they should probably have it at sprouts right? im gonna go there first, ive been grocery shopping there for about a month and a half now i think.. maybe more and i really love it! :)

Yeah what type of scars you had? Is it curing PIH? Deep pitted scars can be treated?

i have more PIH than i do scarring

i have some shallow scarring that its being helped by the vitamin c

and a lot of PIH, its slowly fading. but definitely faster than before. like.. i can see my active pimples easier now instead of just redness everywhere from the PIH

i have some deep pitted pores, the only difference i can tell right  now is that the the seem to have decreased in width, but still appear deep (these ones go beyond any topical treatment i feel, but who knows)

hope that helps
