What is the difference? Does one work better with acne and the other doesn't?
Also, do people here say cerave cleanser is better or worst than cetaphil?

Do Gentle Cleansers Like Cetaphil Or Cerave Work For Acne?
17 May 2013 - 03:02 PM
Cetaphil is recommended by dermatologists. Cerave i read is similar to cetaphil except more expensive.
Would these gentle cleansers work on acne prone skin? I know these cleansers are great if your skin is clear and use it to wash your face to keep it clean but does it work for acne prone skin?
Cetaphil seems to be like water when i used it many years ago.
How To Prevent Mosquito/bed Bugs From Biting Your Face?
15 May 2013 - 11:50 AM
Many years ago i had tons and tons of bites on all my body. I found out there were hundreds of bed bugs in my bed and they were hiding in a certain place on the bed. I threw that bed away and bought a new one. However, i still see a few bed bugs there hiding.
Recently i gotten bit a lot on my face. I had cystlike bumps on my face and i had thought this was acne... but now i found out these are either mosquito or bedbug bites as i see i have like 7-8 spots on my face that was clear... its all reddish now b/c of it and its 100 percents its a bug bite. I even went to the living room and sleep now b/c of this and guess what happened... i still gotten bites there. I dont mind getting bit on my hand etc but they bit my face.
The thing is im pretty certain these bites are mosquito bites and not bed bug bites. I checked amazon and they sell these things called mosquito nets for beds like this
http://www.amazon.co...ito net for bed
http://www.amazon.co...ds=mosquito net
Does anyone know anything about these? So i just buy this and then it would block any mosquito from coming in? What i dont get is... how do you attach it to the top? Do you need to buy something extra?
What To Put On Mosquito/bedbug Bite?
14 May 2013 - 11:51 PM
I have many bites on my face that are huge and cystlike. I had thought those were from cystic acne but many of them were from bites. I'm currently putting benadryl topical on it... would that be fine?
I currently put benadryl on those huge cyst like pimples that are bites from mosquito/bed bugs. But what should i put on the ones that are like 7-8 small bites to the face? I have a ton of them on one side of my cheek that was the only part of my face that was clear. I currently just put some aveeno moisturizing lotion that has colloidal oatmeal. Would that be fine?
What im worried is are those red marks going to stay on my cheeks?? I already have tons of red marks from acne now everywhere else on my face and now bed bug or mosquito bites im worried of the marks. This was the only small part of my face that was clear and now my whole face looks infected now and apparently most of this are bed bug or mosquito bites.
Can someone tell me what i shoud put on it? I put benadryl on those cystlike mosquito/bed bug bites and aveeno moisturizing lotion that has colloidal oatmail on the small bites that are pimplelike but small. Or should i put benadryl on that too???
Questions About The Regimen
14 May 2013 - 04:27 PM
I used the regimen back 7 years ago when i had acne. I used a cetaphil cleanser, then 2.5 percent bp and then an olay moisturizer. I dont remember how long i did it for but i did recall it drying my face and pimple did go away slowly but then i quit it b/c i used other products that worked a lot for my acne.
Im considering doing the regimen again now and have some questions. Im also pretty sure back then, i didnt do the regimen correctly but followed it as best as i could.
1. Is there always an initial breakout with BP for those of you who used it? I seen a few ppl here who mentioned how they cleared their face in 10 weeks and 3 months using the regimen and following it strictly. They mentioned how their face was red and burning etc but did anyone here who had success with the regimen... is there always a breakout? I want to know is there anyone that used it where okay using it got their face dry and bit red but after every week, it always got better the skin and there were no setbacks?
2. I see many ppl mention they use jojoba oil in the regimen even though regimen states, gentle cleanser, 2.5% BP and then moisturizing lotion. Is jojoba oil a must? 2 ppl here showed their pictures of their face when they had severe acne and then clear face and both of them mentioned jojoba oil so im curious if that is a must?
3. Would it be possible to clear your skin in the regimen if you do this but rarely leave the house? Like obvoiusly many ppl dont want to leave the house at all b/c their face has a lot of acne. Is there anyone here that just stayed at home the whole time and rarely left the house and this regime worked? Or would not going outside at all hurt this process?
4. How long on average does it take for the regimen to work? One person showed huge results in 10 weeks which is great and another person said it took 6 months. Is there anyone here that cleared faster than that? Also for those who show they cleared their skin in 10 weeks or 6 months... wouldn't you still have lot of red marks on the face b/c BP makes red marks last longer? Because i cant imagine acne clears in that time and all the red marks go away in those 10 weeks or 6 months? Could jojoba oil be the main reason for this?
5. How long would you say you should stop the regimen if your skin doesn't seem to get better? 1 month? 2 month? Also, i seen many articles that says never use benzoyl peroxide for acne. I had quit using BP for it many years ago due to reading that red marks take longer to fade. Obviously acne is worst than red marks but i didnt wwant to use bp for it if it had those consequences. Overall... many articles suggest dont use BP. What are your thoughts on that?
6. Would the regimen not work at all if you following all those instructions but you do horrible things such as stress a lot or sleep little or sleep late? What about eating unhealthy food? Like are there ppl here that just did the regimen and it cleared their whole skin in 3 months yet they do those bad stuff like eat very unhealthy or stress/anger or sleep bad schedules or late? Obviously doing this would help but im curious if anyone got cleared while doing those things.
7. When you go outside, i remembered i had to put sunscreen after the moisturizer. I assume that has to be done as well when you go out everyday? Thus cleanser, bp, moisturizer and then spf sunscreen?
8. Could you use makeup/concealer while on the regimen or not?
9. Does the regimen work on bug bites/mosquito bites? Im curious what if you do the regimen but then certain areas of your face have this. What do you do on it?
10. Does the regimen work better on moderate or cystic acne?
11. Would this work if you have sebhorric dermatitis or rosaeau? Or is this strictly for acne? What if you have acne rosaeau?
12. Does the regimen work on hormonal acne? I read someone mentioned the regimen worked for them but once they got hormonal acne.. BP didn't do anything to it?
