i have bought this product long time back and it's RIDICULOUSLY ABRASIVE. it will end up irritating your acne and make it worse!

the walnut shells have sharp jagged edges that will create microtears in your skin which will be damaging in the long run.

In Topic: How Long Does It Take To "pull" The Oil Out Of Pores?

22 March 2014 - 10:54 PM

you should wash your face ONLY 2 times a day - morning & night. when you wash often, you strip the oils of your face and it causes your face to produce excessive oil, hence acne.

trust me, when i first got acne, even i washed my face multiple times in a day until i found out someplace in google that its counterproductive.

In Topic: facial hair

i had this same uncertainty but i decided against both methods because i heard that a loss of facial hair will cause pimples.

what i do is bleach my facial hair and it works amazing! i use the Jolen bleaching cream which is very easy to apply

In Topic: Ran Out Of Retin-A 0.01% - Can I Use Micro 0.1%?

14 March 2014 - 12:52 PM

i feel like 0.01% is too light on the skin, especially since you have been using it for a year or so.

at the moment, im on retin A 0.05% and it works great.

i would suggest that if you dont have sensitive skin, to try the retin A micro. the standard amount to use for retin A is 'a pea sized amount' but since the micro is x10 stronger, i would suggest that you start with much less than a pea size and if no adverse reactions are encountered, to increase ever so slightly in a week to two weeks time.

PS: im not the best in giving advice because a week back i upped my retin a application, using twice the amount although still at 0.05% and it caused me to breakout. i was doing so well beforehand and i just HAD to fix something that didnt need extra fixing -_-.

In Topic: Switching From Generic To Brand Name

13 March 2014 - 09:47 PM

hmm i dont know how much help i will be because i've never used diane 35.

my doctor prescribed me a generic version of retin A and a few months later, i got my hands on the real brand version. i have heard many people complain about the initial purging process but i believe i didnt get that with the brand name cream because the generic version was a low dosage that helped my skin get accustomed to the product. hence, when i applied the brand name cream, i didnt purge one bit.

i know this isnt what you were looking for but i hope i helped :)

lol this is the topic i started but i didnt get a proper response from anyone:
