Organic Skincare Recommendations?

01 February 2014 - 09:21 AM

Hey y'all! I'm wanting to switch my routine to a mostly organic skincare line (minus dan's BP). What are your recommendations for a line that is affordable, and easily accessible? I don't want to have to order on line, but I will if it's necessary. I've been looking into Alba Botanica, but it's kinda hard to find the full line in stores. I've also been looking at Burt's Bees.

Now that my skin is clear, I need something to treat the dark spots and give me some more radiance.

Any suggestions will be great, thanks!

Increase In Blackheads

18 December 2013 - 11:54 PM

Hey y'all! So I've been noticing that I'm gettin more and more blackheads along the sides of my face, near my temple. I have huge pores! I mean huge, you can probably see straight to the core with these things. So that's why I think my skin is more prone to breakouts. But anyways, what do y'all do for your blackheads? I was thinking about switching my cleanser to one with salicylic acid (as mentioned in my last post) I heard that helps with the little under the skin bumps and blackheads. I'd love to hear all your opinions and success! Toddles ;)

Salicylic Acid Cleanser?

16 December 2013 - 12:02 AM

Hey y'all, Merry Christmas! Hope everyone is havin a good holiday so far! Here lately I've been gettin a lot of little bumps  all over my face. Nothing in my regimen has changed in the past few months so I'm not sure of the cause. I was wondering if anyone has benefitted from using a salicylic acid face wash along with dan's regimen, and if you have seen any results. Good or bad. I'm thinkin that it will help boost my complexion some more. What do y'all think?

New Facewash Suggetions?

19 November 2013 - 12:13 AM

Hey Yall!

I'm approaching the bottom of my Olay face wash and I'm getting that "itch" to try something new. Sorry if that sounded gross!

I've tried purpose cleansing bar, simple skincare gel cleanser (left me oily!); clean & clear sensitive skin wash and purpose liquid face wash (I'm somehow allergic to both).

My main focus now is my improving my overall skin texture now that my acne is under control. My skin is oily; I have super large pores and hyperpigmentation. I'm basically looking for something that will help soothe any redness and keep my oilness at bay.

What are your favorites?

View On Clarisonic Brushes?

20 October 2013 - 11:51 AM

Hey Yall! So I've been thinking about purchasing the clarisonic mia for a few months now. I've done tons of research on it and have heard good and bad things about it. But since acne.org is where I go to get the most honest and personal opinions, I HAD to ask yall! What do you think about it?

I'm about 85%-90% clear and have been for a few months now. I'm left with lots of hypepigmentation and sensitive skin. For the past 2 months I've been using olay's new va va vivid power cleansing tool. It's basically a small rubber, vibrating brush that cleans your face 400% more than with hands alone. I feel like it's helped keep me clear and even reduce my dark spots. I'm thinking the clarisonic will boost my reults even more.

Has anyone used the claisonic? What kind of results did you get? (good or bad)
