here's a reply read this please--

Sorry to take so long to reply,I don't know the chemical, only what man made foods to avoid,I have helped several people over the years who have the same intolerance as me,the products that cause a huge cystic spot are found in(I live in the uk,so different countries different brands) are ramen, pot noodles, instant soup,noodles,rice,gravy/coffee/tea granules basically anything that you add boiling water to,to get an instant meal/sauce,a favourite of take aways, restaurants etc, and I am not sure but some prescription tablets contain these chemicals which are made in a laboratory.

I know 100% these cause my cystic cysts, please reply to let me know your views, thank you.

In Topic: Cortisone Shots For Acne Cysts

16 June 2013 - 03:42 AM

I have a couple of acne cystic pimples on my jawline that are huge.  Its red and inflamed.  Its like a pustule but really big and a few of them.  Im very depressed b/c of this.  They are very painful.

I read about these cortisone shots online and most ppl say it helps for those inflamed cystic pimples.  However there are some cases where it didn't go right such as atrophy.  But from what i read, the atrophy in the skin gets better within 2 months with most people.

Would you suggest getting these cortisone shots based on your experience?  Most ppl say they got it b/c they couldnt stand those huge cystic pimples on their face so would you say do it?

These cystic pimples are huge and it usually takes 1 month at the minimum for it to get better and longer for it to be able to pop.  I can't even pop it now.  Of course it scars as well when i pop it.

Would love if any of you can tell me what was your situation and if it did good or bad for you.  I mean i don't mind having a dent on my face for 2 months b/c these cystic pimples are just huge.  I seen some photos of ppl who had dents but they are from ppl who have it on their cheeks and if these cystic pimple is on my cheek, i might not do it.  But since its around the jawline, i want to.

I used to get huge cystic spots, usually just the one, occasionally two, that was years ago until I discovered that I was intolerant to a nasty chemical used in things like instant soup, ramen, pot noodles,gravy/coffee granules, instant tea etc, etc, basically granules, add boiling water to activate, maybe you are the same.

I never got any scars and squeezed big cysts where I had to insert a pin 0.5cm inside the spot to locate the pus and then it took about 4 squeezes a day for 4 to 5 days before it was gone,I even sometimes slice them open with a razor blade, all you have to do is prick the skin and it will ooze out,I wish that mine were as simple as that.

In Topic: After 20 Years Of Searching, My Acne Is Totally Cured. Important Read.

OK folks so back in January I got my water Kefir! I was planning to simply add water Kefir into my life and report back with my findings. But I want to let you all in on a little well known secret - Acne is caused by poor nutrition. If you want to rid yourself of acne go on the Paleo diet! If you want to cure your acne, start eating Paleo foods and remain 95%-100% Paleo; fruit, vegetables, meats and fish – for at least 40 days. What have you got to lose??

I have suffered from acne for around 15 years. That’s how long I have been putting on a brave face when what I really wanted to do was to punch the guy looking back at me in the mirror. I have tried Antibiotics, Roaccutane, Laser, Benzol Peroxide and a list of other creams. Some of them worked for a little while but the acne always came back stronger and more resilient than ever. Each new cream gave me fresh hope until finally my face exploded again and my confidence with it. Around a year ago I was diagnosed with Rosacea. I thought ok, so I’ve got acne Rosacea, lets fix it. Again, I tried everything but nothing worked. Then one day recently the lights came on!! Let me explain; I went to pick up my Water Kefir from a holistic nutritionist in Dublin. I sat chatting with her and her husband for a couple of hours. She told me in no uncertain terms that acne is caused by the toxins taken in by food and drinks (causing inflammation). She said the only way to stop it is to start eating the right foods and to avoid the toxic stuff. Her words got me googling. I started looking for the many articles on food that I had dismissed in the past based on the advice from professionally trained dermatologists who apparently know way more than I do. My searches lead me on to the Paleo Diet. I have followed it for the past 2 months. The results are remarkable!! No more checking for spots in the mirror, no more concealer, no more hiding, no more angry mornings, no more spots.

I hope you find this useful. This is me signing off from acne once and for all! I’ve got clear and so can you. The food and pharmaceutical industry is lying to you. I promise you this! I've got nothing to gain from telling you this. I'm not selling anything and I want nothing from you.

I agree with you that a clean diet (heavy in veggies, fruits, fish and the occasional animal product) helps with acne. My experience has taught me that gluten and dairy are huge culprits in causing acne and the overproduction of sebum (dairy especially causes facial oil spills). However, I also believe that taking probiotics regularly is helpful. It keeps the gut balanced.

Honestly, I think a combo of a clean diet, regular exercise, probiotics and minimal stress in life is the key to the fight against acne. Personally, I don't believe there is a true "cure", but my experience has taught me that maintaining a clean lifestyle is the best way to keep those pesky lesions at bay.

congratulations, but generally you are wasting your time telling others on here,I found my cure after 10 years of isolated big cysts, which was down to granular mixes, sauces, like pot noodles, gravy granules, cup a soup etc,a certain chemical ingredient triggered my condition,so your diet would work on me unless I had something like coffee granules or a schwartz mix in sauce as well.

Hi, I really feel for you.  I have been suffering from severe cystic acne on my jawline for the past few months so I feel your pain.  The past few weeks I have experienced a slight improvement in the cysts and the pain that comes with them through a couple of things.  I switched from Cetaphil to a balm cleanser (one you massage in then removed with a washcloth).  Don't ask why, I have tried so many things it was an experiment?? I carried on using the 2.5% BP and left it to dry for about ten minutes or so.  Then I applied lots of facial oil to my face followed by lots of moisturiser.  I had avoided this in the past but my cysts have reduced in size continuously over the past two weeks so it seems to be working.  I am also taking zinc tablets and an omega 3/fish oil tablets every day, and LOTS of them (please read the vitamins thread for more info).  Another thing I have found helpful in the past is applying aloe vera gel and an ibruprofen gel to the cysts.  At it's worst my skin is very inflammed, and these gels seem to take the swelling and inflammation down.  I am in no way suggesting this is a cure, and I am not 100% clear but I have seen a definate improvement over the past two weeks.  At one point the cysts were so painful they would throb constantly and I was in constant pain.  I really hope you see an improvement soon, let me know how you get on.

Have u ever try popping those cyst ? Do u recommend popping ? if so, how do u treat it afterward ?

I always popped mine, you are lucky you can see the pus, just sterilise a pin under boiling water and break the skin,by the end of the week they will be gone,

I used to attack mine when the pus wasn't visible, inserting a pin deep inside the cyst,0.5cm down, the trick was finding the right pore opening,

I don't have a single scar on my face.
