I've been contemplating about doing low-dose accutane but wasn't so sure how effective it was.

Also, can you clarify something for me because I was skipping through some of the posts and you interchange the words 10mg a *day* then you say 10mg a *week*. Which one is it? Because that is vital information you need to be very clear on.

just to comment...

I used to have terrible TERRIBLE acne, then accutane saved my life. Unfortunately, I believe it made my stomach sensitive, and I had to stop because I ended up getting bloody stools. I think that was my fault because I was eating spicy foods and drinking beer while on accutane..so i think that may have been the actual problem..

...anyways.. I'm currently in the same boat you were in. After a year off accutane, I started to get break outs again, and my skin started to be oily. Fortunately, I am able to control my break outs with tretinoin cream .05% and I am now 85% clear. My acne was getting pretty bad without it (not as bad as it was before accutane , but still bad) ...However, I don't want to rely on that cream for the rest of my life, and would definitely like to try another method such as low-dose accutane.

, this post you made definitely convinced me to go and try accutane again because that shit worked so well for me the first time around..hopefully it will clear things up once and for all. :] Fuck acne. haha

People should post what their skin looks like each time you update. Honestly, it would make things more believable that you guys are doing this, haha

In Topic: I Had Significantly Reduced My Breakouts, But I Still Get Pimples.. Help?

I don't drink too much milk, so I'm not sure if that is the case.

However, I haven't been eating quite healthy for the pass 3 weeks.I used to eat pretty healthy compared to what I am eating now, but I still broke out a lot, but then again I wasn't using my current regime then..

The thing is, to me, It is just a bit hard for me to grasp that whatever you eat can contribute to acne.
The reason I feel this way is because I've seen people eat very unhealthy. Where I work, I've seen drug addicts, homeless people, obese people, and people who do not exercise much, and have bad diets all have clear skin, and that seriously frustrates me.

I know I should go back on a healthy diet regardless of bad skin or not,   I just don't really understand how that contributes to acne at all. Can anyone enlighten me about that?

I forgot to mention that the acne I had before accutane is very much different now.
I had really huge painful cystic acne which caused a lot of my scars now.

The acne I have now isn't nearly as bad, and although they still under my skin, it isn't nearly as deep. Its a bit more superficial.
With that said, that is also another reason that maybe i don't have acne, and what i have now is something different.

Check the thread under my sig.  Hope it helps ya.

okay, thanks i will check it out.

Okay, I had just read it.
Question, was your skin problem similar looking to mine?
Also, have you tried other solutions?
I read that nizoral and lotrimin can help too.
Anyway, I'll definitely check your solution out.
