In Topic: Accutane One Month: Help

14 November 2014 - 12:14 PM

All of the above is true. I took Accutane I believe in 2012 and ended my course early 2013, and since then the oil my skin used to produce has drastically reduced.

Your oily skin will reduce after Accutane. If it's still bothersome, you could try taking Fish Oil pills and Vitamin D3, but do that AFTER Accutane, due to it maybe having the possibility of interfering with the drug itself.

Hope I helped.

In Topic: A Week And A Half On Doxycycline And Acne Is Worse (Pictures)

any update man? I know how hard having acne ...im wondering if its still just as bad?

Hey man,

Haven't been on acne.org lately, so sorry for the late response.

Yes, my face is 10x better than here in the picture. I dropped Doxy a month and a half ago since it did absolutely nothing for me. I began taking Zinc Gluconate Chelated (50mg), Fish Oil 1500mg, and Vitamin D3 5000 IU each once daily, and I quit dairy products as well.

My face has only improved since that 1 month ago. It's a bit red and dry now due to the cold weather coming in, but nothing Aloe Vera gel can't fix. Overall, my face is completely smooth, the red marks *almost* completely gone, and what would be left is just patience in general. Without a doubt my skin will keep improving, but I have to maintain a healthy diet as well.

Ever since I found out my acne is hormonal imbalance and diet related, I decided to fix that, and I see great results and improvement so far.

Take it easy man!

Horrible idea. Try aloe vera (but extracted by yourself from the plant, NOT BOUGHT IN A BOTTLE).

They're both Vitamins needed for your body. I don't see why not.
