Do You Chuck Out Your Make Up When It Gets Old?

06 November 2013 - 04:54 PM

I just wondered if you throw away your make up that has been opened a while?  I threw away a few lipsticks the last couple of days (and bought myself a really lovely hydrating one as a reward - Wing Woman by Benefit) even though there was loads left.

I keep a file on my computer of when I open each product (I am geek LOL) so I know when to bin them because of the bacteria in them.  I used to be more lapse at this but the acne situation has made me review this.

Swimming And Accutane

29 October 2013 - 11:35 AM

I started on accutane 10mg yesterday.  I swim regularly.  I just wondered if the chlorine is going to become a problem for me?  I shower straight after and will moisturise throughly.  My dose is to go up every month depending on how I react to it.  Also, I have read about dry eyes.  Do contact lense wearers experience problems?  I only really wear them for swimming and the gym (with goggles on top for swimming) so could get prescription googles if it's going to be a problem.

Many thanks.

Scalp Acne - Shampoo / Conditioner

14 August 2012 - 01:55 PM

I have acne on the back of my neck going up on to my scalp.  I wash my hair most days with shampoo and conditioner.  Are any better than others for acne?  Or ones to avoid?  I'm in the UK.  Currently using tresemme coloured hair shampoo and conditioner.

Best Oil Controller/ Mattifier For Under Or Over Make Up

14 August 2012 - 12:50 PM

I have acne which is being treated with oral antibiotics (lymecycline) and epiduo (adapalene and benzyl peroxide) gel overnight.

I try not to wear make up but if I go somewhere I will see a lot of people like church for example I will put some on to cover my acne as it's really bad.  I've got the acne coverage sorted but after a few hours my nose gets greasy through the make up.  I'm using oil free make up and it looks good for the first few hours but then it gets really oily.  I remember years ago I had a product that absorbed the oil under the make up but I can't remember what it was and think it might have been discontinued.  Does any one know of any products that are good for this?  Either something that goes on under the make up (I already use a primer) or over.  Has anyone tried the Urban Decay oil control spray that goes over it?  Any suggestions?  I don't mind the price range.
