In Topic: Best Moisturizer/spf Included

10 November 2013 - 11:19 PM

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for some good moisturizers with an SPF included as I also have really fair skin. The one I have can still leave dry patches...

I really like Eucerin Dermo Hydro Purifyer SPF 30 moisturiser.  Not sure if it's available where you are, I'm in the UK and it's a new product here.

I would avoid using something that far expired, it might have a lot of bacteria in it and the product may have degraded.

In Topic: How Many Times To Wash Face Per Day?

I wash my face with cleanser (Eucerin Dermo Purifyer as recommended by my derm) morning and night but if I work out at the gym I wash it again in the shower.  So that makes three times.  I think twice is recommended though.

In Topic: Best Concealer Brush For Maximum Coverage?

I have the Benefit concealer brush which I use with their 'Bo-ing' concealer.  I really like it as it is quite firm but soft.

I also rate the Body Shop brushes, I use their brush for foundation after the lady on the Clarins counter told me their brushes were as good as the more expensive Clarins ones.  I have one Clarins brush but I'm not so keen on it as the handle is very short.

Also, I'm sure you know this but remember to clean the brush very regularly (they say weekly but I think with acne issues even more than weekly is good), I like to disinfect mine with alcohol too after washing them with mild soapy water.

In Topic: Swimming And Accutane

I went to the opticians today.  I'm trying a different type of contact lense that are moist and more eye drops.  Also she looked at the under side of my eye lids and said that the glands are blocked so I have to put hot water on cotton wool or a flannel on the eyes for a couple of minutes each night and then massage the eye lids.  She thought this was due to the roaccutane.  Also she said to wear the lenses only for a few hours a week e.g. two hours twice a week, which is fine by me as I mainly use them for the gym.  I also ordered the prescription googles.  My skin on my body is probably the sofest it's ever been - probably due to the intense moisturising regime I have been adhering to.  I expect it will dry up though soon enough.
