Of course smile.png I am just doing what the people on this site have done for me when I was where you were at in your regimen. I know how much it helps to have support from people who know what you are going through and you willing to be there when needed. So no problemo smile.png

New pic everyone, of myself this time :)

In my gallery!

Yay I am so happy that you are going to start the regimen soon!!! That makes me happy :) And thank you for the compliment, they also make me happy lol:D I am sorry to hear that your current routine isn't working so well, but at least you can rest assured know the regimen will work, as me and hundreds of others on this site bear witness to its effectiveness. Dan doesn't think that sunscreen is important, but I disagree. This is because BP makes you r skin incredibly sensitive to the sun, and so if you are outside your face will burn! Increases skin cancer risk and you will age faster than you should. These, to me, do not sounds appealing. Now I can understand people can be worried about adding new products into their routines, so every person has to decide for themselves what is best for their situation but if you can get yourself a trustworthy sunscreen like, Nuetrogena Breakout Free Sunscreen SPF 30 or 50 you can you the protection you need and fight acne at the same time. Again, I am just expressing my opinion :)

So for me it is important!

Anyway, I am super glad that you will start. You will have to post pictures and a post about your progress and let me know when you do so that I can be there to support you like you have for me ;)

Wow, your skin is looking great! I'm going to start the regimen soon, I would be so happy if my progress turned out anything like yours. My skin has gotten better very slowly, but I still get breakouts once in a while, which shows the ineffectiveness of what I'm using right now. I have a question though, how necessary is sunscreen? In all of Dan's videos and outlines of the regimen, he always shows it as a 3-step process: cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer. But he never really talks much about sunscreen. Is sunscreen really that important?

Like month 10 Update? lol….it can been a long time hasn't it ;)

I have been very busy with my school semester, but I am back now!!! Missed everyone :)

So to the update: I am still 100% clear! My spots are 85% gone and I am hoping in another 3-4 months they will be completely gone. I still do the regimen every day and night, however i can get by with using less than a pump for each instead of the full amount i was using in the beginning. This is great of me :) (I would not recommend cutting the amount until you have been in the regimen for quite some time, like 6-8 months because the skin does like it, at least mine did not when i cut back early)

Anyway, message me people, I miss ya all and want to know how you are all doing. I have not gotten clear only to leave this site ;)

AbyBar, how are things going?  i recently started The Regimen and i am definitely in the sucky stage.  Hope all is well smile.png

Hey! How is it going??? Do you remember me???Because I remember you ): I am so happy to see that you have started the regimen. I know it will do wonders for you like it has for me and Aby smile.png

I know the beginning stages suck, and they suck so bad, but remember you can sleep at night and know it WILL get better. I took me until 5 week to notice any sort of difference so make sure that you stay positive and stay on this website with the support of others.

I have not been on this site for a while (from my busy school life) and I am glad to come back to see that a fellow member has started this regimen. Let me know how everything is going and message me whenever you need.

Sincerely,

thereisalwayshope

Of course i remember you!  The # 1 most optimistic person EVER!  How's school going hun?  I am so happy that things are still going well - you deserve it!  I love that you're foreseeing clear skin in my future - from your lips to God's ears.  I am steeling myself for the worse but hoping for the best.  Willing to give it a 3 month trial run.  I'll definitely keep you updated and you do the same.

Great talking to you!

Awww well thanks rolleyes.gif  School has been going well, I have just finished a semester so I am trying to relax for the summer haha. And three months sounds great, but I know you will get clear way before if you follow the regimen closely. I am going to update another picture soon. Not now because I have just done a chemical peel for my acne spots and I am peeling like crazy haha but i will soon. Anyway, stay strong and soon you will also be acne freeteehee.gif

Day 136 Update:

Oh WOW! I am so filled with joy from all the compliments!!! This makes me smile and makes me feel gooey warm inside! I can not thank you all enough for your kind words :) I am truly humbled.

Thank you fadedjay, geekboy, elsewhere, and AbyBar. You are all the reasons I wanted to start a post.

Anyway to my skin…I did another peel on Saturday. I think this is my 9th peel. In the 9 weeks I have been doing the peels I have a 70% improvement in acne spots and noticeable difference in the scarring.  HUGE difference. I cannot stress enough the benefit of these peels. I am looking into purchasing the 50% glycolic peels in the next coming weeks. I am sticking to about a full pump of BP to stay clear and I am loving it :)

And thanks again for all your support. I love you all.

Hello everyone! I did my third 40% glycolic peel today! Still getting wonder results…..my indents are not so deep, texture is very very smooth, and overall complexion and decrease in spots. Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful! I am going to work myself up to 70% to get the skin I had before this deadfall acne :)

Hey thereisalwayshope, I just wanted to say your regimen log has been so inspirational to me. I actually just started the regimen last night and I am hoping to end up with the results you have seen. I was just wondering if you wore makeup throughtout the regimen so far because I can't imagine going to school without any. Would it be bad if I wore makeup still?

Hello:)
I am glad that i have inspired you to start the regimen…that makes me happy because that was the goal for even starting the post in the first place :) I started it so that people can read and see the progress with my acne and make the decision to whether they should also start.
And to answer your question…..YES! I wore makeup and still am because of the spots. I hope to stop soon because I hate foundation lol. I wore it all the time and it does not hinder the progression of the regimen as long as the makeup that you are using is noncomodegenic and oil free and does not clog you pores. I use Physicians Formula and I have not broken out from any of there products and would recommend them.
Well I hope things go well, and make sure you understand that it is a journey and will not be the easiest task to complete, but with lots of positivity and friends on the site I am positive you can do it :)

I do both! haha! The glycolic peel that you do once a week is just doing to much much more than the AHA every night, but using them together is only going to benefit you more. I have noticed that since doing the peel I have not had a pimple which is super awesome!

And of course! Anyone, with acne or not can do the peel and still benefit from it greatly. Because who do not have acne use it with the intention is smoothing and correcting the fine lines are wrinkles while others like me will use it to correct imperfections and prevent more acne.

Hope is your face doing by the way?

Day 90 Update:

No pimples today. Yesterday I did my 40% Glycolic chemical peel. I have to admit thought, I wasn't scared of ordering it to use it, but once the time came for me to actually put that stuff on my face I am not going to lie I was a little intimidated my skin would just burn off haha. Since this was the first time ever using it, I left it on for four minutes. Next time I will leave it on for 5-6. I can say I do notice a great deal of improvement already in the texture, and the best results come after about 9 treatments. :)

Before The Regimen: 50+ actives.
Week 1: Mild, noticeably improvement, but still breaking out. Dry, flaky, tight, red. (Half a finger of BP) (Scale of 1-10: 9!)(10 being the worst)
Week 2: No improvement, BIG BREAKOUT! My face became worse than week 1. All pimples were huge and raised high above the skin. BIG breakouts that brought deep and big pimples and numerous cysts. Dry, flaky, RED. (Full amount of BP) (Scale: 10!)
Week 3: Slight, slight improvement. Skin is flatter. Still breaking out a lot maybe 5-6 every morning. This week the pimples are smaller but I was still getting some cysts. No longer dry, flaky, or red. (Full amount form now on) (Scale 7.5-8!)
Week 4: BIG, BIG, BREAKOUT! Probably around 10-15 bloody actives came overnight. This breakout affected my whole face. Cysts, and all. Face began to swell and became painful to sleep. Breaking out continually every day with 1-5. Not a pretty week. (Scale 9-9.5) (35 actives)
Week 5: AWESOME AWESOME improvement!!!!!!! Recovered from last weeks breakouts. This was the first week where I could see WAY more good than bad. This shows you just have to stick it out because till now there has been very minimal results. Got a few pimples this whole week! I broke out anywhere from 0-2 actives everyday this week. (Scale 4)
Week 6: Another week of great improvement! All week I probably got about 3 pimples! Spots are fading, skin is super super duper smooth. Introduced AHA and my face could not be any better at this point. (6 actives)
Week 7: This was a stressful week on my part so I blame my progress completely on this. Spots are still fading. I have about 8-9 actives right now. I am going to try and stay a little more positive so my results stay good. (8-9 actives)
Week 8: Not too much progress form last week. Slight progress. Spots are still fading though! (8 actives)
Week 9: Slight progress, broke out twice this week. Spots gradually fading. (6-7) actives
Week 10: Great improvement! I think I got only two new pimples this week. Spots are still slowly fading. (1-2) actives
Week 11: No more acne as of today!!!!! I new active in the beginning of the week. Spots are still red and slowlyyyy fading. (0) actives! Posted Image
Week 12: 2 pimples! Ah darn haha. I still need to get passed another month or so to stay consistently clear, so I am pushing through it still.

Week 13: About one pimple all week, but by the end of the week I went back to zero. I also did my 40% Glycolic acid peel yesterday.

Yeah I know its so complicated lol, over the summer I researched so much about the root causes of acne and why some people have it and others don't. There is SO much conflicting information its pretty shocking. My theory is basically that acne is caused by the skin being genetically more sensitive to hormones, and that hormonal changes and food have a direct effect on it (food changes your insulin/testosterone/DHT/estrogen/IGF-1/androgen levels). But people that are hardcore about curing acne holistically think that we have acne because there is something wrong with us internally, and I used to think that too, but I now disagree with that. Mainly because the odds of every single person with acne having a leaky gut/imbalanced intestinal flora/faulty liver, while our friend who eats a lot of junk and/or drinks a lot and somehow has clear skin because all of that trashy eating didn't "mess" up their bodies and digestive systems like us is REALLY REALLY unlikely. And curing acne holistically involves cutting dairy, wheat, sugar, nuts, so many things out and doing juice fasts and stuff like drinking 4 tablespoons of vinegar every day (which made me throw up after doing that for 2 weeks) like its too much and nobody has the time to do that. That's why I gave up on that lol, and barely anyone had success with it. Well at least now I know to tell people not to even bother going down that road lol, it'll make you healthier but really our goal here is to rid of acne, getting super healthy is a completely different story.

I agree with you 100% haha. Well as long as we stay consistent we will fix some the our acne problems. Not internally i guess. But at this point for me, even thought the regimen is only topical and does not sure acne I am okay with that. As long as I do not have acne, for now at least it is okay! And once I get tired of the regimen I will start looking into other options haha. But I am happy for now!!!!!!!!
