I think you should follow your doctor's advice. She has been to medical school and treated and studied acne in depth. Also amoxicillin is my best antibiotic. I've been on it for two years with no problems and it still works good luck.

No, it wont bleach anything. Totally safe on clothes, pillow cases etc...I use topical tretinon everyday with absolutely no bleaching effects...Not true with my benzaclin which contains the bleaching benzoyl peroxide....

If your skin is too dry from Benzoyl peroxide you need to switch to a topical anti-biotic like topical clindamycin and perhaps throw in a retinoid like topical tretinoin (Retin-A).
The last thing you want to do is add oil to bacteria infested skin. It gives the bacteria a buffet...MAKES BREAKOUTS SO MUCH WORSE..the only moisture you should add to your skin is an oil-free non-comodogenic moisturizer..
