Sorry but alot of acne newbies with youtube channels dont understand that acne scars and hyperpigmentation are not the same thing. Im sure topicals could help hyperpigmentation but their is no way a topical could help actual scarring. The closest thing to a topical that helps acne scarring is Retin-A but even the results you will get are UN-noticibable.
Wow 9 months? were you on a super low dose? also what country/state do you live in? ive never heard of that long of a treatment here in the untied states.
im assuming your referring to the treatment of acne scars when your talking about bio oil.
Not trying to sound like a Debby Downer but topicals do nothing for acne scarring.
I strongly recommend you wait at least 18 months after your finish taking the accutane course before you start thinking about removing your acne scars. Accutane messes up your skin (I forgot exactly how) to where it can not properly heal its self and this side effect is usually gone by the 18th month period. If you want to play it super safe you will wait 24 months. No doctor will treat your acne scarring if you recently have taken accutane. Sorry this is just how it works
This amount of time will give you plenty of time to do research and thinking on how you will get rid of your acne scarring. I have never taken accutane so I can treat my self sooner then you. If you'd to do the same as me, im going to do what DudleyDoRight did for his acne scars, he reported that he has a 90% acne scar improvement.
I will be getting multipe Deep/Total FX laser treatments, probably about 2-3 to maximize your acne scar improvement. And if the Avita ReCell is worth all the hype surrounding it I will combine the Laser Treatment with the Avita ReCell.
You do not need to do the Deep FX laser specifically there are other good lasers like the Fraxel Repair as well. Just make sure your laser is a Fractional CO2 Ablative Laser. If its Non-Fractional, Non-Ablative, or Erbium, I wont recommend it from my current knowledge. Co2 Ablative fractional lasers are considered 5 times better in one treatment than you would in the other.
I am also looking very forward for the Avita ReCell to make its debut in the States, and if this procedure really matches the hype I would gladly spend $5000 +.
Do you have any before and after picture gallary for acne scars? I saw the picture of the darker skin individual but a few more pictures would be really appreciated and the best part about releasing pictures is that people would be much more willing to use this treatment.
Also what are your thoughts on the effectiveness of combining ReCell with a laser like the Fraxel Repair?
If it replaces scar tissue with normal tissue then ya i can c how it would work
That's exactly the point of all ablative lasers.
its the point but does it give the results? NO. There isnt a laser out there to date that can fill in scars with '''tissue loss'''. I would appreciate it if you stop spreading false info about me and stop following me like a fly stuck on shit.
Lol Calm down, you need multiple treatments with lasers that penetrate about 1.5mm like the Deep FX or Fraxel Repair Depending on how severe your scarring is. You should just do 3 laser treatments. Also the Avita Recell looks and sounds promising. Maybe a Deep FX + Recell combo is the future?
not a prob, the issue most teens like me have is how are you going to get about 2,000$ to pay for laser?
luckily for me thats how much i get from left over college scholarships every 6 months, just intime to get another teatment lol.
Im going to get 2-4 Deep FX's (over the course of 12 to 24 months) depending on how good the results are, with my first one this December. Ill keep you guys updated.
Before i knew exactly how lasers worked, i was kinda tricked into getting the Active FX.
The active fx does not penetrate into the Dermis so it will not help acne scarring, All it did was tighten my skin.
This December i plan on driving 5 hours to Dallas to get the Deep FX. It is the closest place that offers doctors that have the Deep FX laser. The thing about Lasers is that you need about 2-3 treatments for best results. (depending on severity).
But the good thing is that all doctors charge substantially less the 2nd treatment than they do the first treatment.
despite popular belief, Ice pick scars do not naturally "heal" their self over time. I know I've had a few for about a year now. depending on how many you have you can try TCA cross or excision. But if you have many ice pick scars you could try Fractional CO2 resurfacing. The DEEP FX and Fraxel Repair are good for dealing with acne scarring. I believe though that the new laser coming out called the SCAAR FX will revolution acne scar treatment. Since it penetrates deeper than the base of a ice pick scar it should really help them out.
But until then, I know it is very hard, but try not to focus on your acne scars and live life to its fullest. Just keep positive until the day you decide getting your scars treated.
You look great, and I still wish I had your abs. LOL Progress will sneak up on you after the initial decline. I didn't initially think I made much progress after my 5th Re:pair after the swelling went down, and then 6 months later I noticed the improvement. This really is a process that it pays to stick with. Too many people get treated at too low a mj and are dissatisfied and quit before they realize the real power of the laser.
Believe it or not we all have abs, just most of us have them coverd up by a layer of fat. Six pack abs is 90% diet and cardio and 10% ab workouts
good luck with the results.
I had the ACTIVE FX 2 weeks ago done for ice picks and it didnt do crap =/, next time i will try to get the deep fx depending on how impressed I am from your after pictures since Repair and DEEP FX are essnetially the same.
