I live in Canada and I have private insurance (Drugs are covered up to 80%) and I have broken down the costs of the drug for a five month stint of the drug.

Incidental Costs
When you go on Accutane you more than likely need to change up your products. I had to go out and buy new hair and face products to deal with the effects of the drug.
Hair conditioner: Morrocan Oil: $40
La Roche Possay Cream Hydreane Riche: $25 (a good non-irritating moisturizer but not strong enough if you are on Tane)
La Roche Possay Effaclar H: $20 (a must if you are on Tane during the Fall and Winter)
La Roche Possay Cleanser Tolerane: $25 (not my favourite but it is okay during treatment, Effaclar H also makes a cleanser which is probably better)
La Roche Possay Ceralip Treatment: $15 (its okay but your lips can still feel dry, great if you are off Tane)
Aquaphor: $10 (worth every cent)
Cetaphil Lotion: $15 (it is good non-irritating lotion)
Bio Oil: $12 (hardly used it)
Total Incidental Cost: $162
Total Course of Treatment Without Insurance: $1320.03
Total Course of Treatment With Insurance: $455.61
