Aw man... :( I can't stop looking at my skin. It looks so good. Baby is 1 month so that means if I am lucky I may have another month or 2 before it goes back to normal. Thank You all for the replies. At least, I won't be in total shock if my skin starts to breakout again.

In Topic: Questions About Minocyclin

18 March 2015 - 08:54 AM

I'm not sure about the other questions but I took Minocycline and it cleared up my cystic acne but when I stopped it came back worse. :( I think I wrote a review about it (on this site)years ago. Also, if you take it for too long you could develop minocycline induded lupus. I don't remember how long I took it but it was only for a few months and when the acne came back I was given one more prescription. After that one, Dr. Said he wouldn't give me any more...

I have read that it helped some people...that they took the meds and the acne never came back once they were off it. I guess it just depends on the person. I,unfortunately, wasn't that lucky. Maybe it will work for you.

In Topic: Scarred Pores On Nose

Clinique Pore Minimizer. There's one for darker skin tones and light skin. It goes on clear and fills in the holes. You can't even tell you have it on. I heard it had been discontinued but I bought a whole bunch of tubes so I still use it. I paid 21 dollars for the small tube but it lasts forever.

NO, no dermarolling on the nose! The nose heals differently for some reason and it could scar your nose more. I have done tons and tons of research (been rolling for almost 3 years) and everything I read says to stay away from rolling your nose. I have a couple of small scars on my nose (like enlarged poors) and I apply a pore minimizer. It's clear but fills in the holes (even semi big ones) so your nose looks so pretty and smooth.

If there's no active acne, you get Microdermabrasion done. I can't say if it'll work for you but I used to get it done to smooth out my skin and all my red marks disappeared. Mine weren't bad so it took 2 treatments...it would probably take more than 2 treatments to get rid of your marks. I paid $85 per session (not sure how much it is in your area). I'm actually going back in a couple of weeks to help with some new red marks.
